One of more than 100 covered bridges throughout Vermont and one of three in Woodstock.

This 139 foot long traditional lattice and truss bridge spanning the Ottauquechee River on the edge of town, is certainly as charming as any other.

Notably however, the bridge was rebuilt after a fire and originally constructed by the same company involved in restoring the Mayflower II over the course of three years.

Certainly, strolling across is one of life's simple...

It's a nice looking bridge but not worth traveling as a tourist to see. If you're in the area and find a place to park then stop and take a look but because it is a functional bridge you may not necessarily get a chance to go through it on foot without disrupting traffic. Although, I'm sure there are times of the day that they may not have as much cars coming though.
