Hotel was very quaint, cozy, and clean. Staff are super sweet and very accommodating. 4th of July BBQ was delicious and beautifully done. All of the events following into the weekend were outstanding! The spa for me was disappointing. The interior design was stunning and it had an extremely welcoming feel, but I could not get past the constant slamming of the guest locker doors and/or the cabinet doors as the staff would come along to refresh the towels/robes/slippers etc. Soft close hinges would do wonders on the continuous noise the heavy doors make on closing. Due to the spa space being so open with the men on one side and women on the other and co-ed space in the middle, the sound travels and can be heard throughout the entire spa. Not relaxing in the least and definitely put a damper on my expensive experience. I didn’t make it to any of the hotel restaurants so I can’t comment on them, but overall I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend the resort to anyone looking for a low key, but...
Read moreReally beautiful spa, and the woman at the front desk was very kind and warm upon our arrival (and departure). Unfortunately, while I had an amazing massage (thank you Amy!), my fiancé did not. I specifically requested someone strong who can give more of a deep tissue massage (he’s a big guy) and his masseuse was quite petite. She didn’t ask him many questions throughout or ask for feedback. Additionally, the spa should really not charge the full amount since (against their power of course) a lot of the amenities are closed because of COVID. For the price ($422 for a couples massage, with tax and 20% gratuity), I expected a lot more (i.e. cucumber water, tea, light refreshments, fruit. Of course the showers and “extras” are all closed too). It just didn’t feel worth the money with all the restrictions and things off-limits. That said, I’d still recommend in normal times, but without the full experience and moreso the lack of personalization with my fiancé’s masseuse, I did have buyer’s remorse...
Read moreI have photographed many weddings in Vermont and the Woodstock Inn is one of my favorite venues. The staff is extremely professional and friendly and the weddings all run like clockwork. The inn itself is a beautiful property for any upscale Vermont vacation that boasts two sumptuous restaurants, a lovely spa, health and fitness center, golf/cross country ski course and down hill skiing. The photo opportunities for weddings is unlimited, a romance session in the gardens, first look on the covered bridge and reception in the inn. Here are a few photos of weddings I photographed in the past and I cannot recommend The Woodstock Inn highly enough for you romantic getaway or exclusive...
