My friends and I visited Woodstock for the day and were craving something sweet when we walked by this cute little ice cream shop we decided to give it a try. It’s small busy little spot and when we walked in there was a line but the line went pretty quick. When it was my turn to order I asked the worker for a sample of the maple ice cream just to make sure I could tolerate it as I’m pregnant and have some food aversions and didn’t want to spend $10 on ice cream I can’t eat. The worker gave me a weird look and said no we are not doing samples at this time it’s too busy lol that I understand but the upsetting part is the gentleman in front of me in line was kindly given a sample no questions asked. I was in shock when she said that to me, I look over at the man holding the sample spoon in his hand and looked back her and just said fine I’ll just order it. The time it took to explain to be they are not giving samples out she could have already handed me a sample lol. Well I got my icecream and THANKFULLY I enjoyed the flavor so I guess it all worked out but I don’t like the way I was treated and once I left the shop even my friend noticed the treatment towards me and said...
Read moreMy friend and I came to the area to do some camping and hiking. We stopped at this ice cream shop in between activities. We both have disabilities that warrant service dogs. The sign on the ice cream shop says "no pets allowed". When we went into the store, an older woman took our order and was really rude to us. She was perfectly nice to the people before us, and when it came out turn to order, she told us dogs were not allowed in the store, so my friend informed her that both of them are service dogs and she said "yeah sure ok." I asked a question about the menu and she gave a really unnecessary attitude and did not answer the question, and then throughout the whole process continued to be rude and just plain jerk. Under her breath she said "those arent service dogs". Yes, they are. In no way shape or form did our dogs disturb the environment or the other customers in the store, so its not as though our service dogs were misbehaving in the store either.
Im more disappointed than anything. Service dogs improve quality of life for many people, and to see things like this is sad.

They had enticing, sweet, delectable options, such as ice creams of different flavors, milkshakes, and hot fudge sundae. But we really wanted to try the Maple Creemee, a soft serve ice cream flavored with 100% Pure Vermont Maple Syrup. The ice cream mix comes from a small dairy farm in Vermont.
We made it the “Ultimate Maple Creemee” by adding maple crunch sprinkles on a Waffle Cone. Oh how amazing it was… The crunch really made the soft serve to the next level, while enhancing the velvety maple syrup flavor. It was worth every penny!
One thing that made me remove one star was that it had the paper cone separator on the outside AND the inside of the cone... Making it difficult to eat the ice cream and the cone, you know, with a paper in between...LOL. It was...
