Deirdre Donnelly ~ jewelry inspired by Irish symbols — Local services in Woodstock

We went in yesterday to browse the jewelry pieces and before walking in, we looked to see if any signs indicated a mask was required. There was nothing posted so we continued in without masks (we are all vaccinated fully) and the woman immediately comes out of the backroom and snaps at us that we need to put our masks on. I tell her we saw no sign or we would have put them on before coming in and she said well I’ve been too busy. I’m sorry, I am happy to comply with whatever rules a store puts in place, but how is taking 2 minutes to draw up a sign that says masks required too much of a hassle yet you have time to come out and demand masks which took about the same time and I’m sure she had to tell others since it was not posted. I hate leaving bad reviews but the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability on her part is what earned this review. I feel compelled to leave a review. I met the owner in her shop while visiting vt. Really loved the style of her jewelry and liked her personality. So I ordered a special order necklace. I was supposed to get it in six weeks but it took four months. When it finally arrived I site it swimming and it turned black. I always wear jewelry swimming and this has never happened before. Then the center stone fell out. I called her and she said the package says not to wear in pool. So I don’t think it’s sterling silver as advertised. Then I was told I should bring it to a local jeweler to fix the center stone because it would take her months to get it fixed for me as she was way behind. I’m sorry I would never go back to...

From the moment you open the door your eyes are filled with Deirdre’s Iconic Designs of Gold and Irish Magic. Her amazing jewelry designs are cosmic and organic in the same breath. I was assured that I could return anything that my better half didn’t like as my wife is very picky about what she wears for jewelry. For the first time in many years I didn’t have to return what I picked out for my discerning wife, and we have already made plans to visit Deirdre’s beautiful Woodstock studio and have lunch afterwards.
