I have been to Charley's often and have always had a great time. The General Manager, not sure of the name, nice looking woman with short blond hair, is an amazing manager, always fixes issues and has never made me feel like my requests were too much. My last visit was the most awful in my food service experience. I would like to note, I used to manage food service, wait tables and the whole nine yard, so i know what i speak of. I am a member of one of the pool teams that shoot there. We arrived around 7pm. Our server was Alanna M. We had 4 members of our team there at the time of her first visit. Two of us ordered food. I ordered a beer and the other 3 soda. Our food came in a timely manner. We ordered, per the ticket at 18:51. We shot our first match, which consisted of 4 games. The next match started and we were in our 2nd game (approximately 45 minutes later) and we had not seen Alanna M at all. When we finally did see her, she was with the other team. We called her over and she actually walked away. A few minutes later she came back with a plate of food for a small child that was there. We called again, we did not know her name as she did not introduce herself, she looked up, and no acknowledgement, continued to talk to the party with the small child. After her conversation was over, she came over and said, What? Do you want something? I asked if I could have another beer, and i stated it would of been nice if i could see her more often than every 45 minutes. Her reply was, "I have other customers". Insinuating that they were more important than us 4, and stomped off. Lets also note that the dirty dishes from our food were still sitting on what little table area were were allotted. When she came back she slammed the beer bottle down and it did the foaming thing. she picked up my plate and stormed off. Now our team has been shooting for this bar for 3 years, we have never had the pleasure of Alanna M being our server. We usually eat and drink and we always tip, larger than normal. We are there for a fun night out. Boy did she change the tone of this night. I went up to the bar to talk to the manager. When I asked who the manager was, the little girl behind the bar indicated that she was. I was trying to explain the situation and she kept interrupting with excuses. We were short staffed, I am sure I was wrong, and then Alanna came up and started interrupting with, I was back there, have waited on your team, I have been bringing you guys kami-kaze all night and your team member buds. Alanna and the manager both fell short of calling me a liar. Number one we only had one man on our team present at that time and he was drinking soda, which was empty at this time. No One on our team has ever drank kami-kaze's. All I wanted was acknowledgement that Alanna needed a little more training in how to manage her people skills. I have seen the turnover of servers in this place and always wondered why. The food is good, the people are usually good, The tips are probably not too good, but... now I know. When you treat people like this. This is the type of clientele you get, and this is the trailer trash you get to work for you. I feel sorry for the other servers, and workers that are really trying to do a good job. I decided that I will no longer give this establishment any more of my money. I have 3 more weeks of Home matches, where I will have to be there, but it will be water for me, and I will eat at the Checker's next door in my car. As long as my server is not Alanna, I will tip my server for my no money as it is not their fault, they are just trying to...

Coma to Die For: Colossal! You cannot fit this thing in your mouth. I have ordered many large burgers, but this one did not squish down much to fit. It was dense. I had to eat it by biting above and below. That said, it held together until the end (barely).
The burger was a medium quality beef weighing one pound. I ordered it medium and it was a little closer to the medium well end and thus a little drier.
Toppings were well balanced except the onions were a little too much, the bacon and cheese was actually a little on the lighter side (mainly because the the massive amount of beef). I’m nit-picking, though. It was still all around magnificent.
And it is a great bang for your buck! For as much as you get for $14, almost no one is going home hungry! I dare say most will be taking a box of leftovers home.
I ordered mine with ketchup, mayo, onion, tomato, and lettuce.
Fries: Great battered fries with a wonderful blend of seasoning and a small hint of spice. Great crispy outside with a fluffy inside. Just a little too salty, though.
Water: I usually don’t say much (and this is totally minor), but the straw was not tall enough for the glass. I usually don’t use a straw anyway. Minor detail.
Service: A helpful waitress that was very social and helpful. The meal was served rather quickly and I was checked on often. I was never waiting more than a minute for attention and help.
Atmosphere: Cozy and friendly. You get the sense that people from every aspect of life come. You had families, close friend groups, serious pool sharks practicing, and the average Joe (like me) just having fun.
This place has been around a while and I can see why. The tables are kept up well and there are a ton of them. There is still plenty of room to socialize and enjoy the evening.
The biggest concern is parking. The front parking is very tight. Leaving is an issue as you have to go to the back parking lot to turn around, but there is plenty of parking and space in the very back where a dirt parking lot is.
I’ve been wanting to get here for a while and I was not disappointed. I wouldn’t mind coming back here for sure.

Read moreI called and requested a reservation for 30 people in the restraint, I was told the owner would call me back to verify. 4 days later I still had not heard, so I called and the owners wife (Sandy) who runs the restaurant answered. She confirmed the date and the amount of people. She said well will everyone be eating , I responded yes, she then proceeded to say that was a lot of people. She would have to check to make sure she has the staff and enough kitchen help. She strongly gave the reaction as she did not want the business. That restaurant holds more than 30 people, so she makes no sense to say well I have to make sure I have enough staff and kitchen help!! Seriously, I have never heard of a business turning down BUSINESS!! My family has been in this industry my whole life. My family owns a very successful restaurant/bar. This type of response from Sandy is unheard of. Sandy clearly is not out to accommodate the customers or want business in this establishment. She told me she would call me back the next day and of course she did not. I have been telling everyone I talk to about the reaction and lack of the want of business that Sandy gave. I made the reservations of this party elsewhere who welcomed the business. I am just dumb founded of the reaction I was given as if I was bugging her to do what the business she is supposed to be running to do!! Never will I step foot in Charleys pub and grille or the pool side again. I will also make sure everyone I come into contact with knows how I was treated. TURNING DOWN BUSINESS OF 30 PEOPLE WHO WILL BE EATING AND DRINKING IS ASSADINE. WE WOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN GOOD MONEY. SANDY DEFINATELY NEEDS TO PUT DOWN THE LIQUOR BOTTLE AND CIGARETTES AND RUN THE BUSINESS AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE RAN AND GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS, IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT SHE DOES NOT KNOW...
