4th of July, Yachats. Badass firework show, however, the experience is bar-none tops of all shows. There are folks blasting off everywhere - at the bridge, on the outlet, across the bay, all around us, right over our heads and showering all around us. It was as though 4 or 5 different mini shows were popping off for the whole hour before and most of the hour after the show. Poy dancers, flash poles, lasers, live band across the bay, dudes with guitars milling about and kids Everywhere. Read moreEasy to pull over with trailer when it's a weekday :) Fabulous view! Walked down and checked out rocky escarpment and found some cute agates. Watch your back! Easy to get a sneaker wave all over your bad self. Do not DO NOT let kids get close to edges. Super danger. A young man lost his life about 1 mile north of here falling in. It's not always the safest place in earth, but it's absolutely fine with some extra looking out and common sense. Rocks are sharp-ish. Read moreSuch a beautiful little detour and one of the prettiest spots along the coast. We could easily sit for hours watching the waves crashing over the rocks.
FYI: This little hidden gem is set back and if you don't know it's there you might miss it.
