Big Dog BBQ — Restaurant in Yachats

If you are lucky enough to be there on Sunday late-morning, THEN GET THE BRUNCH BURRITO!! It's what they serve in heaven, I'm certain of it.

For other days of the week, you can't go wrong. I know because I tried nearly everything on the menu over a period of 6 weeks while staying nearby.

The tri-tip is mouthwatering and delicious. I recommend getting it on the loaded mac & cheese.

Their hot dog is the platonic ideal of a hot dog. It's quality beef; they dress it just so; and the bun is toasted perfectly every time.

The cheeseburger is big and juicy and messy in all the right ways. On mine, the patty was pink in the middle, which is how I like it. If you like it well-done, just let them know. Steve and Candi are great people. They'll take care of you.

Food was very good for the price and felt like a generous amount. The guy working there (maybe the owner?) said he was out of mac salad bc it’s a seasonal thing and they usually have it in the summer. We were a bit bummed because that’s the reason we went. We got the pulled pork slider with potato salad. Whew it was good! They added pickles and red onions which really set it off. We went to the supermarket across the street and when we got back the food was ready. He saw us walking up and sauced it then so it didn’t get too soggy. I'm very picky with barbecue because I grew up in the town that hosts the international BBQ fest annually and just ate a lot of great BBQ growing up. THIS is some seriously delicious BBQ!!!!! Pulled pork was smoked perfectly! Flavorful, tender, moist. Delicious tangy BBQ. Even the sides are great! Get the potato salad and baked Mac n cheese. Large portions and good prices.
