Was craving Cajun and Creole cuisine, so I made the drive out to Yorba Linda for my weekly date night. And lemme tell you- The Dive Oyster Bar is the place to go! From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered a dozen oysters (there were four different ones available, so we got 3 of each and loved them all), Sprouts (10/10), shared a bowl of chowder (best chowder I’ve had yet), and for entrees we got a House Specialty Pan Roast and Cajun Lobster Pasta. Both were phenomenal. To finish, we shared a S’mores Bread Pudding. Literally a perfect date night.
In this day and age, it is so expensive to go out, it feels risky. But we are so glad we chose The Dive for dinner; we will definitely be back again soon.
Our server, Jordan, provided phenomenal service, making sure we had everything we needed and offering great recommendations. We also had the pleasure of meeting Brady, the kettle cook, who gave an impressive presentation that added to the experience.
Everything about this place—from the food to the service—was top-tier. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreI visited The Oyster Bar in Yorba Linda about a month ago with a fellow church member. Until then, I had no idea what Louisiana Cajun dishes were like. Trying the traditional pan roast with pasta and gumbo for the first time was an amazing experience. It really opened my eyes (and taste buds) to the world of Cajun cuisine. My church friend, who’s a huge Cajun food fan, said it was the best gumbo he’s had since visiting Louisiana. I personally loved the flavors savory, light, and clean. That unique Cajun taste made a lasting impression on me... just thinking about it makes me hungry again! And I can’t forget to mention their Cajun fries, absolutely awesome! Even my kid, who’s very picky about food, gave them two thumbs up. These guys really know how to cook. I also tried the bread pudding for dessert. It totally hit the spot. It was so good, I definitely failed my diabetic diet that day......
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at The Dive Oyster bar in Yorba Linda. We started with the Cheesy Shrimp and Grits and the Fish & Chips. Both of which were fantastic! The shrimp and grits were creamy and flavorful, and the fish was perfectly crispy without being greasy. For our mains, we enjoyed the Gumbo and the Traditional Pan Roast with rice. The Gumbo was hearty and comforting, while the pan roast stood out with its rich creamy sauce and perfectly balanced spices.
For dessert, we shared the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel bourbon sauce. It was the perfect sweet ending to the meal! The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the option of outdoor seating. I would highly recommend The Dive to anyone looking for delicious Southern-inspired seafood in a friendly and...
