TLDR: It's more of a tap house than brewery and their pizza reminds me of something you'd buy from the frozen aisle with decent toppings. Been here three times, once before opening and twice when opened. I came with my SO when they weren't open because the hours weren't correct the owners welcomed us in and the tastings then were great, but no food yet. However upon opening, they hired young inexperienced people that don't even want to be in the service industry. On my first visit the beertender was probably barely 21, she didn't acknowledge me for at least 15 min, when I asked her for a beer she told me to wait.. as a server in the industry this is unacceptable, they don't follow basic steps of service at a bar. But it didn't deter me and I just drank my beer waiting for another. She seemed to only want to take care of the typical Yorba Linda type (iykyk).. On my second visit I approached the bar and an older woman looked at me confused and said "can I help you?" This doesn't seem like a big deal but she made it seem like I needed water instead of wanting to eat and drink at the bar. Ultimately, I just wish they knew how to serve guests, she didn't even lay down a menu until I told her I wanted a beer and food, still looked at me odd and said "sure". Now for the food, I was so excited to try the pizza because one owner is from NYC but the pizza was NOT NYC. I ordered a margarita pizza and the toppings were decent as well as the cheese but the crust was straight up thick cardboard, like something you'd buy frozen, thaw and heat.. I was very excited for this place to open because as a resident in YL we need more night life but this place sucks :c As for the beers they don't have a full menu of their own house beers, they mix in other breweries so it feels more like a tap house 🤷

Lone Wolf Brewery – A Tuesday Night Surprise What could go wrong when the first thing you see is a bartender in a cowboy hat? Absolutely nothing. A Tuesday night at Lone Wolf Brewery turned out to be better than we ever expected. Chalk it up to good luck—we stumbled upon line dancing on a Tuesday. Who knew? And the beer samples? They were flowing. From the start, cowboy bartender Nick set the tone with a warm welcome (thank you for your service, by the way). We rolled in early for happy hour and enjoyed two beer flights, each pour better than the last. The steak sandwich with a side salad and the fish tacos (because, of course, it’s Tuesday) hit the spot. The brewery itself is deceptively large, and on Tuesdays, the tables get pushed aside for a full-fledged line dancing takeover. A live DJ, a dedicated instructor, and a step sheet (which we still don’t understand) kept a loyal following of Yorba Linda housewives moving in sync. The energy was contagious, and even if we didn’t know the steps, we had fun watching the regulars make it look easy. The merch was on sale, though nothing quite caught our eye. But what did stand out was the friendly, hometown feel—being greeted by name on our first visit made all the difference. Lone Wolf Brewery is more than just a place to grab a drink; it’s a community, and on Tuesdays, it’s a party. We’ll definitely be back.

We moved from Fullerton to Placentia just over a year ago and I was hoping to find a local brewpub option to avoid the drive to Fullerton. While Lone Wolf does have some strengths unfortunately overall it doesn’t meet my expectations. The service was outstanding! The servers were very helpful and attentive! My red ale & hazy IPA beers were delicious! My wife didn’t care for her Los Lobos lager, she said it was weaker than Pacifico. The cheesy bread and my sliders were delicious! Unfortunately all of the fried food was ruined by bad cooking oil. This included the chicken tenders, French fries & onion rings. As a supervisor of 7 QSR restaurants in West LA that sell “world famous” French fries, I know a lot about cooking oil! The Lone Wolf cooking oil was in desperate need of replacement! While trying to save a few $$$ on cooking oil they ruined the appearance and taste of all of the fried products that we purchased! Sad. We will give them another chance and perhaps just stick to grilled food or pizza. I was very disappointed since my beer was so tasty! As someone else mentioned they also had a lot of food items not available. It would be better to reduce the number of items listed on the menu and make them all available!

Wanna have a terrible date night? Look no further! LWBC staff will not greet you, seat you, or bring you menus unless you literally bother them to do so. They took way too long to take our order (we were actually about to leave), & when they finally came to our table, they were rude, forgetful, & seemed annoyed to be there. The beer on tap was decent but the cocktails were obviously watered down & tasted bad, & the food was fine but nothing special. The servers seemed understaffed, although we watched managers/owners hiding behind the bar doing nothing. I never did get the side ranch I ordered with my meal & then asked for again ….& again, & again. I felt like I was bothering the staff to do their jobs, which made me uncomfortable as a paying customer. The pool table and big screen tvs are doing all the heavy lifting for this spot. They did not deserve the tip I left after dropping the ball every step of the way. What an uncomfortable night out.

Unfortunately, this was my experience on my last visit as well, but I cut them some slack thinking maybe it was a busy night or the staff was new- but nope. I think this is just how it is. A poor excuse for a brewery, which is a shame because Yorba Linda could really use a local place like this- if it were run properly.

In conclusion- go somewhere else. Don’t bother the poor team at LWBC with your patronage. Everything about their attitude towards customers says they could do without. We will not be returning.

EDIT (follow-up): this review has been up for 3 months with no apology or response from a manager. Tells you all you need to know. Trash.

EDIT 2 (response to the management, i hope you see this!) that response was way too little too late and you should be ashamed. you didn’t just fail to greet me promptly, you didn’t greet me AT ALL. you didn’t just fail to get my ranch after multiple requests in a timely fashion, you didn’t get it AT ALL. you weren’t understaffed, i watched your staff hanging out and talking before AND after i went up to ask them directly for service. this response is unprofessional and insulting. you’ve taken zero accountability for your poor service, and even blamed customers. whoever wrote it should be fired. what a joke. i will never spend another cent here again, and i will be encouraging others to avoid it. literally how dare you. this business deserves to fail, and i sincerely...

I get it, Yorba Linda feels a bit “dry” and we’re all always looking for that next trendy place to hang out. Lone Wolf has been under construction and was seen as this potential hub for the kind citizens in the area. Let’s face it, we want that local meetup spot without driving a city over.

If you’re looking for cafeteria food and flat libations, this is the place for you! Their excellent selection of three in house beers mixed with choices from external providers (which seemed more like a fake front to distract from lack of options) may meet the needs of individuals who have never tasted beer in their lives.

If you can’t choose what beer to get, don’t worry! They offer a flight which comes out on this oblong Jai alai stick that takes so much precision and room on the sticky wooden table. Don’t worry about spilling either— the menus are already stained.

It makes you feel great sitting down in an establishment and feeling pity for those poor servers who struggle with the ordering system. We had the opportunity to say “don’t worry, you’ve got this” and tip well so the staff didn’t get discouraged or nervous.

Two (yes, TWO) Arcade1Up Golden Tee 3D Arcades make you really feel at home. Just in case someone is already playing, rest assured that you can play and discuss golf right by their side. Nobody is left out!

Lone Wolf is the PERFECT place for people who want to act like they’re going out. Everyone loves having a place to go that is full of people yet makes you feel so a”Lone”

We really tried to find anything to find qualities that save the poor impression we got. Unfortunately, every box you’d imagine was left unchecked as we walked out. With so many options in Anaheim & Fullerton, it is hard to imagine anyone thinking that Lone Wolf is a serious option in the area.

I would suggest against going here but if you really think it’s worth a shot, go for it.

Lone Wolf gets one star from me to represent the word “Lone.” They deserve it! I really hoped to have a local spot with good beer but I will continue going to the places that have redeeming qualities. It’s really not worth the money to leave feeling so...

FYI: Review is by someone who went mainly for the beer, who enjoys getting flights of tasty craft beer and has been to every other brewery in the area.

Pros: The location was convenient with plenty of parking. The brew pub has nice modern decor with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It really is a nice set up. Our server was great (friendly and attentive), as was all the staff we interacted with.

Cons: Beer was mediocre, kind of a flat flavor profile.....we had a few IPA's, a stout on nitro and a red ale. Now we are into the higher ABV and higher ABU IPA's, So If you like less bitter and lower IBV IPA's you may enjoy it more than we did. Fries were fun looking thick spiral cut fries. we are not into thick cut fries (we like crispy fries and thick cut fries tend to be mushy on the inside even when they are crispy on the outside, and that is how these were). And with me eating a vegan diet, the menu left nothing else for me other than chips and salsa or a veggie pizza with no cheese.

Overall, looking at other people's plates, their salads and burgers look delicious. And it looks like a great place to meet up with friends and family of all ages if you are a group who isn't seriously into beer and care more about service, location and ambiance. It's about on par with what you would expect at places like BJ's or Karl Strauss where they spend more effort on the food and ambiance than they do on their beer, but with less options for non-meat eaters during a time where even fast food places have some vegan options.

It's likely some place we will never come back to despite the great service and location because these days we either want a good flavorful and well balanced beer with plenty of bitter notes, a craft beer that this different from the typical beers, or a restaurant with both meat eater and...
