Masala Market — Attraction in Yuba City

I attended the grand opening of Masala Market, I was curious to what this place had to offer since it took so long to open, as I walked in the store I was greeted by the owner AJ who showed me what the store had to offer. He was very helpful and wanted me to find all my Indian grocery needs, he also said that he would order the things I couldn't find in the store and have them here within 2-3 business days, the customer service was great since I'm always lost with what masala I need to put in my butter chicken, also as I walked around the store I noticed that the prices were very reasonable compared to other Indian stores, I loved the location literally within walking distance of my house which makes it more convenient for me...

Very disappointing…! Been coming here for spices, dal and roti’s for a couple years. Came in on 10/27/24 to get roti’s for chicken curry I just made. They didn’t have any in the freezer where I usually get them from. The guy at the counter told me to wait, that he has some in back. I’m disabled and it’s not easy for me to get out. The guy sold me the roti’s and I went home. I opened them and they were hard. They had been out of date for a couple months. Not sure if it was intentional or not but I won’t be back to find out. This place is well kept and tidy. Comparing this to other Indian/Pakistani stores would be to compare the cleaniness of Target to Walmart without the price difference. Save your shoes from stepping on spilled roti flour in the aata aisle. They carry everything from your grandpa's favorite mustard oil to last minute viah/wedding gift items.
