My sister and I support anti Domestic Violence charities, so we visited w my niece yesterday. We arrived at 4:30, and we were immediately told they were closing in a half hour. My niece found a bracelet and asked for the price and was told $ 5.00, and she counted up all her change she earned and offered her $3 but was rudely told there was no price negotiation. I found a pair of sandals that were overpriced at $9 when brand new Sperry’s were priced at $7. When I offered her $7, shot me a look of disgust and shook her head. My sister was short a penny on her purchase and mentioned she was tired as she scrounged her purse for one and was told to go home and go to bed! We left at 4:55 and were followed by the woman who quickly locked the door. We couldn’t get to our car fast enough. We then saw a woman drive up and approach the store at 4:57. The door was locked. She glanced at her watch disappointedly and left. A few minutes later, another woman tried to enter the store to give this business some revenue, but again, it was closed. Angrily, I got out of the car and went to the door to tell them they lost 3 customers! The woman could see me Through the glass, but ignored me. What a shame that women suffering domestic violence cannot benefit to this store’s full potential. The store is neat and organized and smells wonderful. Customers need to be treated...
Read moreThe place upon entering smells clean. The women behind the counter are not welcoming. I was never there before and asked a simple question and got a snippy response. I think they do not like Northerners (Yankees). For the most part, most of the stuff is in good shape, but I feel for donated stuff it should be prices a bit more reasonably. They're asking too much for used clothes. I found a couple of stains and saw a hole or two in their merchandise. Although, the clothes are batched together by color, the sizes are all messed up and not in order. I dislike having to dig for sizes and its totally time consuming. The women seemed to have attitudes and it's obvious. On the way out to pay I asked if they were opened on Sundays and I got a strange look and a sharp toned reply that hey everyone needs a day off, you know. I asked because I shop on Sundays and arrived there rather late. I saw some nice things but again they're too pricey for used, donated stuff. They need to treat customers a bit more nicely, be more welcoming to new customers and come down on their...
Read moreClothes are nice. Better than most thrift stores, however the white haired lady with short hair working there today was terribly rude to my mother, my children and myself. She yelled through the curtain at us to hurry up in the changing room because others were waiting. We had been in their no more than 7 minutes. Then she was very rude to my son because he was being a child. Very sour face and bad attitude gives non-profit places like this a very bad name. I don’t understand how they claim customer service is their top priority. It definitely isn’t hers. If I was in an abusive relationship looking for a way out I sure wouldn’t want someone like her...
