The West Gate of Itchan Kala, also known as Ata Darvoza ("Father Gate"), serves as the main and most majestic entrance to Khiva’s ancient inner city — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally destroyed in the early 20th century, the West Gate was faithfully reconstructed in the 1970s, restoring its symmetrical brick towers and arched vaults in line with traditional Khivan design. Ichan-qal’a - O‘zbekistonning Xorazm viloyatida joylashgan Xiva shahrining tarixiy qismidir. Baland qal’a devorlari bilan o‘ralgan bu noyob me’moriy majmua O‘zbekistondagi YUNESKOning Butunjahon merosi ro‘yxatiga kiritilgan birinchi obyekt hisoblanadi (1990-yil).

Ichan-qal’a o‘zining to‘rtta ulkan darvozasi bilan mashhur bo‘lib, ularning har biri shaharning turli tomonlariga yo‘l ochadi. Eng mashhurlari sayyohlar odatda shaharga kiradigan Ota-darvoza va cho‘lga qaragan Bog‘cha-darvozadir. Bu darvozalar o‘tmishda nafaqat mudofaa vositasi sifatida xizmat qilgan, balki muhim savdo va madaniy aloqalar markazi ham bo‘lgan.

The 200k ticket for foreigners is only valid for a day, not a comprehensive ticket and does not include all the places. So you really need to rush through all the places if you want to see all the included ones. In Samarkand we took individual tickets and saw everything at leisure spending a good amount of time in each place, no rushing. If u have already done Samarkand and Bukhara, you may skip Khiva. According to me you can walk leisurely around Khiva without a ticket, its like going back in time inside a fortress town without spending a dime on entry.
