Ziyovaddin and Madina provided a warm and welcoming service. It was a lovely start to our stay in Uzbekistan. |Proof of registration was provided. |Breakfast was delicious and varied each morning. We were given breakfast in a box when we had to leave at 6am on the morning of our trip to the Aral Sea.|We organised this trip through Ziyovaddin in the B&B and proof of registration for this was provided also. After much research, booking the tour through him proved to be the best price and included all the sights that we had seen listed with all other tour companies. The drivers, Bahrom and Asad were lovely - warm and friendly. They had little English, we communicated through an app when necessary. The boys at the yurt camp where we stayed by the Aral Sea were so polite and friendly also. |We were given late check out at the B&B on the day we were leaving as there wasn't anyone booked into our room - a really nice gesture. |The location of Meros is excellent - inside the city walls. It is minutes walk from the popular Terasse Café and all the beautiful sights...
Read moreThe two brothers running the hotel are exceptionally helpful. They helped organise a driver to collect us from Nukus when our plane was diverted on the morning we flew (just as well as there were no drivers in Nukus). We did a great day trip back to Nukus for the art gallery and would recommend using them to organise day trips/travel etc. Much better than an agency I’d used to book one trip before getting to Khiva.|It was a nice introduction to stay in a family home. The location can’t be beaten. You’re right in the old part and it’s great for early morning and late night quiet walks where you get a better sense of the place without the crowds. It also meant it was a very quiet nights sleep.|The one drawback was the very lumpy and springy mattress which was really uncomfortable. With this changed I’d have no hesitation in returning. This was a problem across most hotels in Uzbekistan including...
Read moreI spent five amazing days at Meros. Jaloladdin and his family are super kind, welcoming, nice and professional. They will make you feel home during your stay. They can also help you to arrange any tours you're interested in and they can recommend you things to do and where to eat (inside and outside the walled city). The structure is beautiful and authentic. It's one of the oldest B&B in town and you will feel the history of Khiva. It also has a beautiful terrace with a great view. Location is perfect, in a quiet street just a minute walking distance from the main attractions. You'll be impressed by the breakfast every morning, delicious, freshly prepared and plentiful. I'd strongly recommend to stay here if you're visiting Khiva! Only minor downside is the WiFi which doesn’t work great in the bedrooms (but it works well in the common area) otherwise everything else was...
