Don’t trust the reviews. When I arrived at the salon, they immediately started doing a wax nose depilation right at the entrance, without even seating me in the barber’s chair. And it wasn’t even the barber performing it, but the receptionist — the same person who greets clients and takes cash payments. He didn’t wash his hands and started the procedure, even touching my lips, which I found extremely uncomfortable.
Then I sat in the chair of the taller barber (there are two barbers there — one shorter, one taller). If you value your hair, avoid the taller one at all costs. I clearly explained my requests for beard and head trimming, and he assured me he understood everything.
However, during the process it became obvious that he lacks even basic beard-trimming skills. It seems he is self-taught and has had no formal training, as he doesn’t understand the fundamentals of working with beards. I asked him to slightly shorten my beard, but he cut it down to the length I had more than a year ago when I first started growing it out. On top of that, the beard ended up uneven, disproportionate, and poorly shaped. My neck was shaved incorrectly — the width I mentioned at the start was ignored, and he shortened it as much as possible, leaving it looking terrible. Now I have to wait for my beard to grow back so experienced barbers can at least fix the shape for future growth.
The shortcomings and unprofessionalism of this barber could be listed endlessly — I definitely do not recommend him. I genuinely don’t understand how a salon with a 5.0 Google rating can employ such barbers. I’m extremely upset and have no idea what to do with my beard now or where to even start, since every detail he touched is wrong and uneven.
Moreover, when shaving the head, they don’t follow even basic disinfection standards.
After the haircut, I voiced my complaints to both the barber and the receptionist, but in response they simply handed me the bill — and I had to pay for the worst experience of my life.
Read moreWhen I arrived there were 2 barbers cutting hair and 2 guys waiting next. They told me it would be 90 minutes and I agreed even though I somehow knew it wouldn’t be that long. 5 minutes later another barber showed up who I found out at the end was the manager. I showed him the picture of how I wanted my haircut and he completely butchered my hair. It looked nothing like the picture and have been getting the same haircut in Thailand with no issues. He literally was done in 5 minutes and never checked with me on length. The front desk girl came over and told me it looked great and that he cut it short due to my type of hair and head shape. It was so short I looked like I was joining the military. When it came time to pay I said your not charging me for this right and she talked to manager and they agreed to not charge me. I won’t be going back but I guess next time I will make sure I see a resume of previous cuts before letting someone new cut my hair. It seemed like everyone else was getting more than just a haircut so I’m not sure if that’s why mine was rushed and butchered but I...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times, around five. Yes, the haircut is decent for the price, the interior is nice, and it’s comfortable inside. I also got a perm and that was done well. Those are the positives.
Now the negatives. On my very first visit, the barber stood over me and forced me to open Google Maps, take a photo, and leave a review. That’s not service, that’s cheap rating manipulation. If you want good reviews, earn them by doing professional work instead of begging your clients.
It gets worse. Some of the barbers here act like kids: joking around, chatting, playing. On my last visit, the guy washed my hair like he was bored — rough, basically scratching my head with his nails, and joking around like some street kid. I came for a service, not to sit through a clown show. Zero professionalism. If that’s the “format” of this barbershop, then it’s a cheap one. Maybe some people like it, but grown men want professionalism, not kindergarten games.
Bottom line: the haircut is fine, but the atmosphere is more about childish behavior than a real men’s service. For me,...
