Will not stay here again for many reasons: PHOTOS - Photos of the rooms are deceiving. They’re much smaller and pretty dingy. KING BED - The bed has one sad flat usable pillow per person. The other pillows are throw pillows which appear to have never been cleaned and the covers are not removable so I suspect they’re filthy. There is a scratchy burlap style top sheet. I can’t fathom why this would be a bedding choice. BATHROOM - When our shower drained the water came up through the drain in the bathroom floor between the toilet and bidet. This happened every time we used the shower and left a massive puddle covering the already small bathroom floor. The faucets didn’t work properly. The space was cramped and dingy. Only shampoo is provided. AIR CONDITIONING - Pretty much worthless. When we checked in curtains to our room had been left wide open on a hot summer day letting the room bake in direct sunlight. We turned on the A/C and left it on the entire time we were here (2 nights) and the room never got cool. Whatever unit they have can’t even keep up with this VERY TINY room. CHECK IN - No help from the doorman with bags. They have two luggage carts and both have flat wheels. When we arrive our taxi driver helped us with the luggage cart while the doorman stood and watched. I found this bizarre. FRONT DESK - Basically useless. Cannot provide cash, will not call you a taxi or help find one that accepts credit cards. Fairly rude in general. LOCATIONz - Perhaps the only thing that is decent...
Read moreI visited this hotel as a tour leader with 13 other guests, early February 2020. We were promised a 4 stars hotel but this hotel can be ranked as a 3 stars hotel to be completely renovated.||The hotel has major maintenance issues, a lot of AC's in the rooms were not working, the water of the bathroom is never very hot, pipes around the toilet were leaking...The furniture is old and dated. The rooms are very tired and need to be renovated.||We were surprised by the size of the bathroom seat: very very small as it was for kids.||The staff is very nice and helpful especially Martin but they should really reconsider having Daniel at the reception. Daniel was rude and not helpful at all with me and all my group.||Local bottled water could have been offered nicely to the guests in the rooms instead of charging them. It is not so costly for the hotel and guests really appreciate such gestures.||Breakfast is basic. We were shocked when requiring a boiled egg, we were charged...||What is really good about this hotel is it's location, very centrally located with a lot of restaurants and cafes around and a walking distance from...
Read moreThe hotel presents as a 3.5 star, but presumably it was last reviewed in 1987. ||On the downside:|The rooms are very tired and in need of a makeover. Judging by what appear to be trainer prints up the wall to the AC vent, Spiderman stayed there before us.|My elbow still hurts from repeatedly smashing it against the toilet roll holder as the seat was fixed off-centre and required a side-saddle mount. |The breakfast room is small and the chairs look like they have been there since the hotel opened. Due to size of breakfast room, you will probably have to wait for a table, except at the quietest times of year. ||On the plus side:|The saving of this hotel is the staff. Unfailingly polite, friendly and could not be more helpful. They alone are worth a return visit.|The breakfast (included in our very reasonable room rate) was extensive and the pastries were delicious.|Location is great with a number of excellent restaurants and shopping areas in easy walking distance.|If you are feeling energetic, even Recoleta is walkable, although you may wish to cab back if you...
