Not even average, but I'll start with the good - the hotel is centrally located near lots of restaurants and transportation options. It is only a few minutes walk to Avenue 9 Julio where you can get on a bus, subway, or hop-on/hop off yellow bus. Walking distance to Teatro Colon, The Obelisk and Puerto Madero. Plenty of good restaurants and mini markets to buy water and snacks.||The bad - my room (and my traveling partner's) room was a dump. Water dripping out of the ceiling, paint peeling off the walls, patched walls that hadn't been repainted, no working AC or fan in either room. My friend had mold in his bathroom. Neither one of us had a lock for the room safe, and his refrigerator was completely iced over and didn't function. Door lock was a push button. Breakfast was almost all sugar - kids cereal, fruit, sweet breads, jello, flan, toast, deli meat and cheese. ||I will say my bed sheets were clean and comfortable. However, it was difficult to sleep with a first floor room over the street, and paper-thin walls.||I can only assume all the glowing reviews are either fake or from people who had an "executive or premium" room advertised in the elevator. This hotel was selected by a tour agency. They said they got so many complaints from this group, the first to stay there since the pandemic, that they won't use this...
Read moreI was working in buenos aires, and i decided to extend my stay and i chose to stay at the hotel I stayed at with my husband in January, and We had a good experience. ||Check-in was smooth, and they were accommodating to my requests throughout my stay. ||Each morning, I was treated to a variety of pastries, and local specialties, simple and good. The dining area was also well-maintained, with attentive staff ensuring everything was replenished promptly.||The location of the hotel was another plus point, as it was conveniently situated near many of the city's attractions and within walking distance of great restaurants (there's a very good restaurant just around the corner - one of the ones I like best, good and cheap, with real food - Santo Manjares ) and cafes (Confiretia Ideal - my favorite one). This made it easy for me to explore Buenos Aires without spending too much time on transportation.||Overall, my experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations, thanks to its comfortable accommodations, great value, and the friendly, helpful staff. ||I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. I'll...
Read moreOthers have commented that some aspects of the rooms are dated and tired BUT everything functioned perfectly, the linen and towels etc were spotless and the air conditioning perfect. Any shortcomings in the fabric of the room were however more than compensated for by the warmth and efficiency of the staff. Eliana welcomed us at reception and couldn't have been more helpful and amiable. Her colleague Rocio was similarly disposed, and nothing was too much trouble. Roberto, the concierge was constantly available to assist too, and always ready to go the extra mile. The array at breakfast was extraordinary with constant replenishment and variety. The staff there too worked tirelessly in keeping on top of things - no idle chat or constant looking at mobiles... and unusually in our experience the cutlery was polished before being placed in the baskets. The staff and ambience they created made our stay a joy. We have stayed in other hotels in the city, some seemingly more swish BUT I would return here without hesitation. Thankyou for a...
