Prodeo Hotel + Lounge — Hotel in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I booked the Prodeo Hotel through RocketMiles.com. Up until Buenos Aires all of the hotels booked have been excellent. I try to stay away from big chains and I was looking for a place in trendy Palermo. Found a few options but decided for Prodeo as it looked cool, reviews were fantastic and location was superb. After a delayed flight and 9 hour flight I arrived at the airport. I had set up through the hotel a private airport pick up. The driver was smoking, looked like he never went to bed, sleepy and not showered, the car was FILTHY dirty and the smell of smoke all over. For $50 dollars this service was BAD, not the good first impression I was hoping or usually do get at other destinations. Upon arrival, the hotel surroundings looked shady, the entrance dark as well as the hotel lobby. One person checked me in. I was there for one week work so I requested a quite room away from noise. The room was dark, the guy went quick to open a balcony, dirty full of leaves from the tree next to the hotel. I did not pay much attention. The BED not like it looked on the pictures online. It all looked like and invention, let's try to put the light switch on the bed bar...not sure how...but well...I did not pay much attention, I was tired, maybe over 15 hours in all at the airports and flight. I unpacked like I usually do and proceded to the bathroom, the tub had mildew...I went in with my flip flops. When done, I open the nicely folded towels to find myself with a towel full of make up. Apparently the previous guest didn't;t have make up remover and used the towel. You can see exactly the eye brows, mascar, blush and lipstick. HORRIBLE!!!! and worst...I guess the cleaning person did;t change towels or didn't care to check. At that moment I called downstairs, the lobby person said nothing. I packed all my stuff and went downstairs. Demanded to speak to the manager, he was there on a laptop and offered no apologies - ZERO apologies! Before I left the room, I turned on all the lights- there was mold/mildew on not one but all 4 walls...it smelled horrible, no wonder why they had so much spray and plug ins for the smell. The room was not only DIRTY-FILTHY but is DANGEROUS and TOXIC!!!!!! How can ROCKETMILES offer this hotel on their portfolio..?? This was in March 2018. Up to this date no answer from the hotel or rocket miles..and WAIT IT GETS BETTER! they charged me for all nights like if I had stayed there.....they said it is not their fault...so wait...it was my fault..?? NO ANSWER as to why they charged for the room from PRODEO horrible HOTEL or ROCEKTMILES.com. My co -worker was supposed to arrive later that same day. Upon check in I checked in for both rooms as I was paying for both rooms with my credit card. When I left I told them, I will not stay here and my co-worker will not stay here either. BOTH ROOMS WERE FULLY CHARGED. The manager suggested for me to go to a Hilton...that's not the answer SIR...I don't need a hotel chain to stay in a clean place. I NEED MY MONEY BACK ASAP- DO NOT FALL INTO FELONY and return funds- ROBBERY! My wife and I stayed at the prodeo for 2 weeks on our honeymoon - the hotel was perfectly located between Palermo Soho and Hollywood Walking distance to several clubs, pups, restaurants, cafes and more. The staff are truly exceptional and made our long stay even more enjoyable. The pool is perfection! The hotel itself is clean and not to our if date. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked beautifully. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through. The complimentary breakfast was a hit with lots of options from sweet treats to vegetarian quiche, eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheeses and fruit. The staff are very attentive and truly made us feel at home. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel...
