Cielito lindo has been my home away from home for over a month. This place is special, the staff and management are wonderful, kind and make you feel at home, the place is beautiful with a lovely back garden where you also find a great bar with the tastiest food and cocktails (at a very reasonable and fair price) and the most lovable dogs. The beds are really comfortable and they also offer private rooms with bathrooms and private domes in the garden. Breakfast is good and well tought, they also are willing to prepare an earlt breakfast for you if you have to leave earlier than the usual breakfast hours (8:30-10:30). One of the reasons for spending so much time in a small town like cafayate (although it's magical as a place too) is because of this amazing place. Cielito Lindo has been one of the best and my most favourite hostels to call home during my travels. I look forward...
Read moreIt’s a pity, because the place itself is lovely but be aware there is no tranquility policy at night… the rooms are not isolated at all and give on the terrace/bar. During the three nights we stayed, people were really not mindful and quite disrespectful by making a lot of noise just in front of the windows: playing loud music, speaking loud, and screaming at least until midnight even though you asked them politely to be a bit more mindful of other people sleep (the staff doesn’t do anything about it or even encourage those behaviors…).
As a result, we had terrible sleep there, and couldn't really recover from our long days exploring.
If you're looking for some good rest I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreGreat place, had a one night stay and the location and facilities but mostly the vibe were great. Some say the welcome is warming, this we didn’t feel but maybe when your on your own and when you speak spanish (English was not a good alternative) this would be more likely.
The privat rooms where small but cozy, the shower was great. The fan in the room had a mind of his own (only on one specific position it didn’t want to take off) the walls are super thin which could use some work.
The location couldn’t be better and the breakfast was OK(ish) we just don’t want to eat bread and sweets early in the morning but is seems to be the standard in Argentina.
Anyway, book! Go and see...
