The weather was awful when we were there so could not enjoy the Balcony. Room overlooked the river as promised and the view from the small balcony would have been excellent if the wind and rain had allowed us out there. The room was mostly clean. There was a hair on a pillow that did not belong to us but otherwise it was good. There is no toaster or microwave in the room. The mugs for tea and coffee are a good size and not those tiny cups that hold two sips that you find in most places. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help. There are several places to eat within walking distance, although they all seem further away in the terrible weather. Woolworths is also close. The room was quite small but as it's designed for only two people, it is adequate. There was a table and chairs as well as a chair at the desk and a patio setting out on the deck. The bed was quite hard, but I like that. Tv was a good size for the room. Bathroom was roomy with a separate shower and spa bath. I would definitely stay here again if I got a deal like this time. It's a bit expensive for me at full price but worth the money.

We had a lovely weekend away here for my birthday. And very luckily we got back into Queensland before the lockdown. We had a corner room with views up and down the river. The king sized bed was so comfy, the views (and the sunset) were fabulous, and it was very relaxing sitting on the balcony watching the birds and boats go by. The bathroom was massive, there were two tv's in the apartment, and it was very comfy overall. The lady at Reception was wonderfully friendly, (and everyone wore masks on the Sunday as per the Covid rules), and Housekeeping cleaned our room after our first night, thank heavens - which hadn’t always happened other times we’ve stayed there unfortunately! I’d definitely recommend a stay here, and make it two nights if you can.

It is a very ideal location with romantic and quite ambience all around. Water front with loads of dining options all around. Rooms were tidy, linens were clean, bathrooms were clean, and the view from the balcony was outstanding. Overall, it's worth staying at Ramada. Plenty of Parking (2 floors), a reasonable Gym and Cafe within the hotel. The only thing that needs improvement was time to check in. I was calling them from early morning to request "if" they can arrange an early check in for me only by an hour or half an hour, but they did not help, though arranged me the room even 15min late than the actual check in time.....

A Very Rare And Honest Review!!!!!!!!

This Was to celebrate my 22nd Wedidng Anniversary in Advance and My Birthday!! This place ruined it for us.!!!

Poor Quality cheap tea towels, worn out pillows.little bottle of dishwashing liquid. confronted with an empty fridge. confronted with the smell of bleach in the bathroom. no automatic unti spray dispenser.no cholcolate on the pillows. one tiny round toilet soap to shower with between two people.no soap in the shower.no bath or shower gel supplied. supplied with old bath towels.very cheap quality couch and dining table set.

I sat on the dining room chair at the table and felt the foam starting to not hold my weight properly and as a result could feel the wood of the chair starting to push through the foam.with the bathroom door opened at night you can see the reflection of the hallway lights in your bedroom reflecting off the mirrored finish

View of the pool was average nothing to really write home about. the balcony flyscreens had tares on the sides . the shower rack is partly faded due to age and you can see where the chrome plating is coming off. was confronted at the toliet with roll holders which had one and a half rolls of toilet paper not two whole new ones like it should of been.

the only real thing this place has going for it is location and thats about it!!! Now honestly taking into account there is a level of quality but definetly not even 4.5 stars as rated by the company. more like 3 stars. To be quite honest its over rated and seems like the ratings given have been paid for by the company,or they've given bonuses to staff or maybe even offered visitors a discount off their next visit to post false ratings and reviews.

The carpark is just ordinary like you'd find in a very small shopping village but with a boom gate for entry and exit.the honest truth is its really only asouped up 3 star place thats attempting to be something that its not!!

For the price for our room on the 5th floor by our son who as a Birthday/Valentines and Anniversary present paid $235 for the night. it sure wasn't good value for money. The photos uploaded by Ramada Hotel & Suites Ballina are very decpetive. There is no way in the world that our space is as advertised.

Iam never returning to this place in Ballina. I love Ballina for the type of place it is but I will be looking elsewhere for my couple's special time.I even emailed them a few days prior to us arriving that its my birthday and wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day and they didn't do anyhting to make our time feel special or welcoming. Talk about disappointing, the only person that said anything much was the guy at the front counter when he was...

My son and I have stayed at this hotel on seven separate occasions.|We use it as a stop over to break up an eight hour trip to see family. My son is disabled and we book a wheelchair accessible room. Not once have we received any recognition that we have stayed before. No “welcome back” or “ nice to see you again”.|Prior to Christmas when we stayed one of the duty managers was able to accommodate us for one night on our way home even though there was a three night minimum for the period. I was very appreciative of this as travelling with a young man with profound disabilities is difficult and exhausting.|We arrived at check in time to be told that our room was not ready. Fair enough, it’s a busy time of year. We went and sat by the river for one hour and 10 minutes and returned to be told our room still wasn’t ready. We were offered an escort to the pool to look at the view while we waited. When I refused this (we had already taken in the river view for over an hour) I was told they didn’t do this on purpose. This is not accurate. It’s a business model. Fill the hotel but don’t employ extra staff to ensure rooms are ready at check in time in order to maximise profits. |Finally someone said there was a lounge where we could wait. Hooray. It was air conditioned and after a long wait much appreciated.|I am gobsmacked that reception staff one of whom I recognised as having checked us in/out on four occasions and another who had checked us in on our previous visit had such a “couldn’t care less” attitude, especially towards a repeat guest travelling with wheelchair user with significant special needs. They didn’t seem to recognise us at all. Perhaps they have lots of mothers travelling with their disabled sons in wheelchairs. (We all look the same….)|I understand it’s difficult to find high quality staff in regional areas but there is a lack of “service heart”, thoughtfulness and willingness to assist going on at the front desk.|The hotel is a very convenient location for our pit-stop stays and the rooms clean and well maintained so we have booked again but I hope the staff lift their game and recognise that some guests require extra consideration for very good reason and our room is...

We stayed for a night at Ramada, Ballina and it was such a relaxing break! Beautiful, well appointed room with modern furnishings, spa bath was just fantastic, nice comfy bed and pillows, polite and friendly staff, great place for kids to run around and have fun. Excellent customer service by Roger at reception ( who took extra care to book our room at the highest level, from where the views were absolutely spectacular! I had told him on the phone that we were really looking forward to this much overdue break and needed a peaceful relaxing holiday). We were pleasantly surprised when we reached the room and saw the views! Thank you

Todd at reception is an absolute gentleman and has excellent customer service skills too- the AC in our room wasn’t working at night and Todd came up to check what was wrong and when he couldn’t fix the issue, he upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite and profusely apologied for the AC not working! It’s really good old fashioned- “customer comes first”mantra in this hotel.

The 3 restaurants are fantastic and food is really yummy , well priced with good portions ( absolutely lovedddddd the happy hours). View from The Point restaurant is stunning!

The esplanade walk ( from the hotel) towards CBD is gorgeous with beautiful views of the marina. We were lucky to see the famous Ballina sunset from the hotel restaurant and it was breathtaking!

If you are visiting Byron Bay or Ballina, this is the place to stay at! We will be back again,...
