Head down to this joint in Ballina at 43 River Street (previously known as Chef & Shuka) as they do the best food and coffee. The owner (Shai) really looks after his staff too which is a BIG bonus. I know, as they had employed me knowing that I couldn't stay when my normal workplace opened back up in Lismore. When I was in agonising pain, they worked with me and were extremely supportive. The whole staff worked so well as team, and helped each other, that I'm sad I don't work there anymore. I highly recommend for you to go down and enjoy a feed whilst support a local business, that not only provides great food and coffee but treat their staff like royalty. You won't regret it. Whilst you're there, check out the cool hairdresser next door. The ladies are awesome. *Ps, this is one place that actually cooks their bacon properly too, how rare a find that is.

We visited Cafe Boker on our last weekend trip and were truly impressed. The mocha coffee was excellent, exactly what one hopes for in a great café experience. We also tried the unique Sachleb (often called Shaleb), which was a delightful treat. The shakshuka stood out as perfectly seasoned and hearty, while the star meal was Israeli sabich plate offered a fresh ingredients like hummus, mango chutney & pickles, making it a wholesome and satisfying meal. Wanted to try falafel but was already full towards the end of our meal. We finished with the cinnamon scroll to round off the meal. This spot is perfect for both locals and those on holidays looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavours and a welcoming atmosphere. The quality and variety here make it a must-visit café in Ballina.

Absolutely delightful Middle-Eastern cuisine. The decor and friendly staff immediately welcomed us into a great cafe atmosphere. We ordered the Burekas, Shakshuka and Turkish Eggs. All the food was delicious! They were generous with their toast and everything was bursting with flavour! I’d also recommend the Sachleb, a hot Turkish drink with orchid root! It was milky, sweet and nutty! The exceptional service was showcased here when they gave us a smaller cup with the extra drink that didn't fit in the initial cup! We were so lucky to get a seat, as all the tables were full when we were leaving. I’d definitely come back whenever we visit Ballina!

Boker Cafe is simply amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and beautiful decor that creates a perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.

The menu at Boker Cafe is absolutely fantastic! It features a wide variety of delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy every taste bud. From savory breakfast options to mouth-watering sandwiches and salads, the food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee and tea selections are also superb, with a great range of options to choose from.

What really sets Boker Cafe apart from other cafes is the exceptional service. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and always goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have a memorable experience. Whether you're looking for recommendations or need something special, they are always happy to assist.

Overall, I can't recommend Boker Cafe highly enough. It truly is a gem of a cafe, and I'm so grateful to have found it. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience with delicious food, great coffee, and outstanding service, then look no further...

Drove into Ballina off the highway especially just to eat at Cafe Boker(formerly known as 'Shuka'.) It's one of those places after you've eaten there and tasted the food you know you have to return... yeah, it's that good! Best middle eastern food. The Israeli inspired menu is for foodies...(to die for!) Every item of food on the menu is beautifully conceived with a taste sensation to make your mouth water. My hat's off to the chef... such a considered combination of taste packed into the food. Obviously someone who has great pride in what they do and injects love into their food. Ordered the Shakshuka(bloody beautiful!) and my wife, with what I'd say is the best Falafels and hummus I have ever eaten... finishing off with almond-coconut cake and a couple of seves of Baklava this time around. No better Middle Eastern foods have I eaten on my journey's. Ballina is so fortunate to have such a eatery of this calibre food and service. The staff are friendly, relaxed and very attentive which makes for a great ambience and eating experience My wife and I have eaten here four times now and will definitely be driving back into Ballina for what I'd rate a five star...

In Ballina on holidays, found this gem serving shashuka eggs,my favourite. Food was divine. Unfortunately the service was very disappointing. The gentleman/chef bought our food with a serve of poached eggs (which was mistakenly charged to our table. He asked us to come to the counter for a refund after our meal which was great. Simple mistake. When the waitress bought out our 3rd order I asked about my frappe which I hadn't received. She started arguing with me saying she didn't hear that order. Statred aggressively pointing at my neice (12 years old) blaming her that she messed up and ordered poached eggs. She walked off in a huff saying I have to fix it up because she "can't deal with it" I never received my drink. I didn't bother getting my refund. Honestly did not want to speak with her for fear she might make a scene in front of customers.

I wasn't the only one that received poor...
