I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The location of the restaurant is absolutely perfect, easy to find and conveniently situated, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable and well looked after throughout the evening. What truly stood out was the variety of cocktails on offer, each one crafted with precision and bursting with flavor. Honestly, they were some of the best cocktails I’ve ever tried, and they perfectly complemented the meal. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and simply irresistible, I genuinely couldn’t stop eating. You can really tell that a lot of care and authenticity goes into every plate served. Adding a personal touch to the evening, the owner took the time to engage with customers, making everyone feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. It created a warm and friendly atmosphere that elevated the entire dining experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines authentic Italian cuisine, a fantastic cocktail menu, and top-notch service in a prime location, I highly recommend this gem. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Honestly a pub is better... Firstly the service we received from 2/3 staff members was good, so they earned the 1 star of this review, however our main waitress seemed very uninterested and not happy at all. The speed of the food ariving was good but the taste of our 3 mains were all no better than you could get at a pub. The pepperoni pizza was ok but I would have preferred more pepperoni slices or them being spaced better for a $17 pizza, the veal cottaletta was again ok as it was cooked well but it was a bit tastless and the potato sides it came with tasted old, finally the chicken valdostana was an interesting dish but missed the mark, as the small salad served on top was not needed as it detracted from the sauce and chicken of the dish and my order specifically had some parts of the chicken overcooked. Specifically on the night there was a major bug problem with this restaurant where a lot of insects were attracted to the light of the restaurant which resulted in them getting into our drinks. Now I understand this could be just a location thing but it's that much of an issue that the restaurant should try to mitigate it. Finally the pricing of this restaurant is a bit much for the quality of the service and food received so overall go to the local pub.

When I was in Ballina recently for work purposes, I fortuitously stopped by the restaurant ‘Il Cucina Di Vino’ close to closing time and learned that it is under new management. Owner Salveen, his chef and the lovely staff were very obliging and only too happy to whip up some of their amazing desserts. Their Affagato totally hit the spot and the authentically Italian tiramisu was delicious! As is embodied in a good wine (like its namesake “The Wine Kitchen”), I commend ‘Il Cucina di Vino’ on its warm hospitality, the rich flavour of its food, and its smooth service. ‘Salute’ (cheers) to new owner Salveen & his team for ongoing success 🥂🍷

Four people in the party two ordered an eye fillet steak as we chose not to have the scotch fillet special. We were served a scotch fillet that was tough, lots of gristle and sinew. Couldn't be finished. When the wait person was cleaning us she asked after our meals and was told the truth . She said she would pass my dissatisfaction to the management. When it came to pay the bill we were charged eye fillet price and shown a Menue that had eye fillet crossed out and scotch fillet hand written on the printed Menue. All the staff were gathered around the register I assume to ensure that 4 old men didn't pose any threat. The only threat we posed was to expose their lack of integrity and contrition. I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times over the years but this is the last time as it has hit an all time low for Ballina in the food and the way the complaint was handled . Some senior staff members should really be ashamed of themselves I just received a response from the owner . Yes sir I do know the difference between scotch fillet and eye fillet You are wrong I did not finish the food on my plate and my fellow steak eater left grissle and fat on his plate. If this is the information you are receiving from your senior staff ,they are mendacious. I did not ask for a free meal or my money back I was simply gobsmacked that there was no offer. I ask you why was I shown an altered Menue at the time of payment? The whole affair was an attempt by your senior staff to cover their...

First up wish to say the food at this restaurant is delicious, absolutely can't fault the quality. Been here about 5 times previously and have been a huge fan until this week. Firstly visited Monday night and asked to order a entree whist I still working out what main I was going to choose but was informed by the waiter I was not allowed to order entree and main separately, never heard of this before but not to be disruptive I said no problem will let you know when I have chosen my main. Before I have chosen , the entree has arrived, confusing but I enjoyed and moved on. Tuesday night went in again for dinner as the food is great and it's well priced , the premises was about 25% full and the waiter pointed me to a table right next to 2 business gentleman in deep conversation, I politely asked if I could go to the next table as I prefer not to have 2 blokes talking shop in my ear and to my shock the manager/owner tells me I can't as that's a table for 2 and they would prefer to put me on a table for 1. The 5 previous times I have dined there I have been seated on a table for 2 and the fact the table I requested was not used while I was there and I can probably guess it wasn't used for the rest of the evening really disappointed me as I wasn't asking for the world. 2 disappointing experiences for a dining experience I previously have...
