I booked 2 x 3 bedroom apartments for a week during the school holidays in July. The property has 2 large pools, one heat and the other not. Grounds and communal areas well maintained and great spaces. 1 apartment we rented was great - apartment 131. It was very clean and well maintained despite a few broken plantation shutter and dryer. The other however was a completely different experience. Apartment 163, was old and in desperate need for fresh paint, new furniture and furnishings. The only part of the apartment that was fresh were the bathrooms (maybe they have been renovated?) with the exception of a power point handing off the wall exposing all wiring. The main bedroom had lamps that were cracked due to the age and rust on the bases. Curtains were thin with some broken hooks so they didn't close. Dust all up the walls. It needs a serious overhaul. The worst part is that we came home one evening and the whole building including our apartment smelt of weed. I did let the front desk know about all the above and was just told that each apartment is owned separately and maintained by the owners which I can appreciate however, I would have thought (Like many other) the resort would have a certain standard of maintenance and upkeep for the owner to adhere to? The weed issue was mentioned to being apartment 166 which is across the hall. This is a known issue for this apartment and they have been told not to smoke in the building but being a permanent rental not much can be done. So with that being said, the potency of the smell I would highly recommend if you choose to stay here to ask not to be in this building at all especially if you have small children like myself.

The Grande Florida Resort offers a fantastic location and a great pool, but unfortunately, that’s where the highlights end. While we did enjoy our stay, the condition of the property, particularly our 3-bedroom apartment (Room 131), left much to be desired, especially considering the price. The apartment was clean in the basic sense—floors and sheets were tidy—but it desperately needs a deep clean. Dust coated the fans and shutters, and the exhaust fan above the stove was clogged with oil and grease. These details made the space feel neglected. Beyond cleanliness, the apartment itself is in need of some much-needed updates. The shutters and screen doors are broken, the fans are outdated, and basic kitchen essentials like extra plates and bowls were missing. Outside the apartment, the stairwell carpet was filthy, and the carpark didn’t appear to have been cleaned in years. The gardens, while a nice feature, would greatly benefit from pruning and regular upkeep. Overall, the potential is there, but the lack of attention to detail and maintenance is disappointing. For the price we paid, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and care. I hope management invests in improving these aspects, as the resort has the foundation to provide a truly enjoyable experience with some effort and investment.

Really pretty resort with a very tropical feel. The pools are amazing, the grounds really well tended and the staff wonderfully friendly! It has super close proximity to the beach with its nice patrolled beach and long walkway along the beach that I think goes all the way to the Gold Coast proper. The only reason l didnt give it 5 stars is that the apartment that l stayed in was a little 'tired'. The bed mattress was a 'cheapy', which actually costs the unit owner more in the long run due to people marking it down as uncomfortable. The sofa was also ready for the sofa retirement home, having totally lost its support base so that you sunk wayyy down in it when you sat, making it hard to get up out of it....the screen door on the shower in the ensuite had come off its rails so couldn't be opened or closed. In saying this, all the units are owned by different people so I am sure that there are other units that are wonderful and well kept, and if l ever got to stay in one of them, then it would be 5 stars for sure as it truly is a very pretty complex! I also got to and from the complex from the airport using ConXtions shuttle and they were really friendly and nice as well! Thanks Grande Florida for a great stay!

Usually we go to Sunshine coast but thought let try here Instead. When we booked we asked for a 2 bedroom unit on top floor which we got so great start. And that's where it finished, we were not advised that there was no lift. Instead we we faced with 6 steep flights of stairs with 3 big bags ( I also have arthritis on my spine) so this was a mission . The stairs area needed new paint and carpet. The room it self had a good view of the pool area . The beds were uncomfortable ( we were there for 8 nights) the room needed a freshen up with paint coming off the ceiling in the kitchen and walls throughout. There was mold on the curtains in the bedroom, and this dishwasher wasn't fit for the job as the pipes smelt in it. The lounge had one small two seater and two single very uncomfortable chairs to sit in. While to pool looked lovley at night , when day broke,,it had tinges of green in patches on the floor , tree leaves etc on the bottom as well but did have a resident duck who enjoyed it , the pool was not touched the whole time we were there. We booked this in January this year as it sounded like a lovley luxury resort , home away from home with all the comforts .. When my payment was taken. 2 weeks before we arrived., a small email came back saying thank you and also there would be some painting going on but min disruption.. From 7 am till about 3 pm all you could hear was tradies yelling and hammering scaffolding up, so I don't call the minimal.. if we had of knowen this combined with no lift we would have booked elsewhere to stay. Just because it's says it's 4. 5 stars don't let the truth get in the way of a good story... We most definitely...
