Ordered food to dine in on Wednesday morning. Ordered the following - scrambled eggs with white toast. Two slices of sourdough with Vegemite & butter. One butterscotch muffin. One regular hot chocolate. One small hot chocolate. $41.92. The girl serving read out the order to me before I paid. Order received was scrambled eggs (absolutely disgusting rubbery eggs) with one slice of sourdough toast. One butterscotch muffin. TWO regular hot chocolates (advised the waitress that we only ordered one regular & one small and she got cranky). One small hot chocolate. Waited 10 mins to receive the sourdough toast. Went to question where the food was. Two staff looked through the docket and it didn’t show the order for the two sourdough toasts with butter & Vegemite. I advised her about the extra hot chocolate. She was terribly confused and after pushing buttons on the register said that I needed to pay another $2! My husband then went up to question what had happened. After THREE staff members tried to work out what had happened we received a cash refund of $6.60. I asked the girl how come the computer showed our correct order but the ticket didn’t. She just shrugged her shoulders. Whilst the cafe was quite busy with regulars we won’t be returning. As visitors staying in the caravan park next door we most certainly would not recommend to any other travellers to go there. Train your staff to take orders correctly and how to handle a situation when they have got it wrong! They also need manners and to greet customers with a smile. And learn how to cook scrambled eggs that are edible. One thing also was that there was a couple at the table next to us with two small dogs eating meat bones. There wasn’t a table available for us to move to so we had lots of flys and the crunching of the dogs teeth on the bones....
Read moreGreat place. Awesome coffee and breakfast options. I love their juices. I enjoy the elfresco feel of being right on the beach, sitting in the sun. But one star lost over the amount of dogs sitting inside close at your table. We sat down for breakfast at a lovely table and just as my breakfast was served a women sits at the table next to me with a dog, and it smelt. Not that I’m allergic to dogs but I couldn’t stop sneezing. I always thought dogs were allowed on the outside tables but we were sitting on one of the inside tables. If I had seen the dog sitting there before we decided where to sit, we wouldn’t have chosen that table. In fact we did choose to sit away from the other dog table that morning...
I myself would like to see some stricter guidelines on where patrons with dogs sit. Perhaps place them in a dog area, away from others. Or Do the opposite, declare how it’s a dog restaurant so patrons know what to expect. Bc Nothing worse than sitting at your table eating with dogs next to you, especially ones that smell...
Read moreI hate to have to do this but reporting has been a difficult process. Not only were there many flies in the muffins etc area but when pointed out by another customer the girl began attempting to squish and remove the flies that were in there wiping them out with a napkin.. gross and so unhygienic. Then When I was called to collect my drink I couldn’t find it and stood there for a good few minutes. In that time I noticed a girl hang a tea towel and then bump it onto the ground, didn’t notice she had done so and stepped on it then a little while later picked it up and hung it back ready to dry the things coming out of the dishwasher !! I couldn’t believe it and wanted to say something but then the nice girl making coffees , seemingly the only person calm and focused enough in the entire establishment, asked me if I was okay needed any help . To which I was then directed to my drink which had been placed on a stand behind me this entire time. Likely accessible to more flys :) I grabbed a...
