I’m already looking forward to my next visit! My partner and I booked a 2-bedroom ocean view apartment for a week-long getaway, and from the moment we arrived, we felt like we’d found our own slice of paradise on the Gold Coast.Checking in was a breeze. The staff were incredibly welcoming, providing clear instructions for accessing our apartment and offering tips on local attractions. When we stepped into our apartment on the 15th floor, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views from our private balcony. Waking up to the sight of the Pacific Ocean sparkling under the Queensland sun and enjoying coffee with that view was a highlight of every morning. The sea breezes in the afternoon were so refreshing, and we even caught a gorgeous sunset one evening that felt like a gift from nature. The apartment itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, making it feel like a true home away from home. The open-plan lounge and dining area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to whip up meals when we didn’t feel like dining out. The granite countertops, Nespresso machine, and dishwasher were nice touches that added a bit of luxury to our stay. The master bedroom was a dream, with a super comfortable bed, plenty of storage, and an ensuite featuring a corner spa bath that was perfect for unwinding. The second bedroom was just as roomy, and the second bathroom ensured we never felt cramped. The resort’s facilities were top-notch and added so much to our experience. The outdoor pool area, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, was a fantastic spot to soak up the sun, and the indoor heated pool was a great option when we wanted a quieter swim. We played a few rounds on the tennis court, which was in great condition, and the sauna and spa pool were the perfect way to relax after a day at the beach. The gym was well-equipped, so I could keep up with my workouts, and the free WiFi was fast and reliable, letting us stream movies and plan our adventures without any issues.Location-wise, Oscar on Main is unbeatable. It’s just a 5-minute stroll to Main Beach, where we spent hours swimming, sunbathing, and walking along the shore. Tedder Avenue, with its trendy cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops, was practically at our doorstep. We loved grabbing breakfast at Hot Shott and dinner at Domanis Cafe Restaurant Bar—both just a short walk away. The proximity to Surfers Paradise (a quick 5-minute drive) and attractions like Sea World and Marina Mirage made it easy to explore the Gold Coast without feeling like we were stuck in the...
Read moreSo i booked a 1 bedroom garden view room for 2 adults and 1 child for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year through booking.com. When i phoned the property to advise them that i would be checking in late in the afternoon...i also asked did the lounge in the apartment happen to fold out into a bed for my child. The lady on the phone tried to tell me...'look im sorry but we cant have you stay in that room with a child for health and safety regulations'. With being told that i wad rather confused as i knew that i had added ny child to the booking. I had one of the reception staff phone me back and tell me they would move my booking and upgrade it to a 2 bedroom because i had 1 child and that i would lose my 4th night of the accomodation and owe a difference of $200. The next day i went and discussed this with the reception staff who were rude and took no accountability for the booking issue. How dare they try and charge me $200 extra because i was so called up graded for a dirty apartment that wasnt what i originally booked. I expressed my frustrations to both reception staff who were adamant i pay the $200 extra and told me that they didnt recieve the information a child wad booked for that room. What a joke!!! I showed them my email from booking.com which clearly showed a child added. You cant tell me that a couple with one kid books a 2 bedroom..what rubbish. I also asked to see this written in their policy but never got a copy. Reception staff tried to tell me that only a child in a cot is acceptable. What an absolute joke They werent one bit empathetic or helpful. I told them they should be the ones reaching out to booking.com so the difference is compensated. I then phoned booking.com to discuss my concerns regarding my accomodation and was told i did not need to pay the extra. Thank god i reached out to booking.com.
This place was also filthy and unclean. The oven had been used and not cleaned, the shower was covered in mould everywhere. Place is filthy with mould and dust. The reception staff need sacking...rudest so called receptionists i have ever met especially the one with...
Read moreApartment is a stone throw away from Main Beach. The ocean view is quite clear thanks to the Main Beach Tourist Park in the front rather than yet another Gold Coast high rise. Highly recommended to book for a ocean view unit given the advantage.
Facilities are quite comprehensive but some are showing their age. However, the building offers spacious rooms which I which I can take home with. Having fully functional kitchen and laundry definitely helps with multiple days stays.
Service desk is friendly and helpful. Most information are available online or on provided printouts at check-in.
Main Beach is a relatively quiet section of Gold Coast which has its pros and cons. If you have your own car and stock up your fridge once from nearby shopping centre (Australia Fair is only 5 mins drive away) then you should be all set for your holiday. Enjoy the quietness and wake up with nothing but sound of waves. With a bit of construction site noise if you are unlucky but it can happen anywhere on Gold Coast. However if you plan to dine out constantly and have active night life then probably consider Surfers Paradise.
Walking to neighbouring Sea World and Surfers Paradise are completely doable on good weather. In fact a nice way to enjoy a mixture of beach walk and window shopping.
We enjoyed our...
