Beach Pavillion — Restaurant in Hamilton Island

Hamilton island webpage/app indicates they have a couple of hot food choices so we went there to have a quick bite. Sign on the counter reads "no hot food today". So I asked if they will have hot food tomorrow? The girl said "no". I probably seemed surprised because she added "we haven't had hot food for at least 2 months". Had dinner here last night, unfortunately, we didn’t receive what we asked for…. We asked for two scotch fillet to be cooked medium rare. One came out to be way below the rare level and one came out well done. There was way too much fat on the steaks, it was disgusting. Food here is like all on H.I overpriced and hit n miss. Needs to cater more to the many families who use the pool area. Our takeaway was lukewarm n expensive. Functions are often held here at night, and for the one we attended this spot overlooking Catseye Bay was pretty but the food supplied was very ordinary and overpriced.
