We had a very spacious apartment on the 9th floor with amazing views towards Cotton Tree. It was well set out and had a large kitchen table with nearby power points where we could both use our computers. The bedroom had sufficient room for us to leave suitcases on the floor yet still access most of the wardrobe. Although the apartment could use some minor maintenance - which I was told is already arranged (eg painting, doors & blinds fixed) the kitchen was very well equipped with cooking pans, utensils etc. We had a full sized fridge too! A washer/dryer was provided but also a clothes horse which was handy to dry clothes in the sun on the balcony. Ironing board & iron also. Be warned the underground parking is very tight if you have a large car, pillars are everywhere! It took us quite a few tries and a couple of days to get used to it and planning to leave/return when cars next to ours were not there. Finally, Mariska & Taze were also amazing, very friendly and accommodating with fixing a couple of minor issues with cupboards/doors as well as booking us back for next year. UPDATE Sept 2025 - we returned and stayed for 8 weeks in the same apartment, same delightful experience.

Great location within easy distance of everything. Units are not the newest in the area but appears as though they have been updated. The beds were very comfortable and the place as a whole was tidy and clean. There are how ever a few negatives. Parking, if you have a 4WD I would be very wary of even trying to park underground, there is very tight manoeuvring involved. The main bedroom has its queen size bed on a "platform" with steps up to it on either side( see photo). Not sure if this in in every unit but it was in ours. For families tbere is no bath for the young ones only a shower. Some of the bedroom furniture had seen better days. Overall it is not bad value for money with roms that have good views centrally located within 1 minutes walk to beach.

Location is great, close to the beach and shops. ***WARNING*** parking space is very tight. I would recommend bringing a small call. We had a Mazda 2 and it was still tight to park. You can only get out on one side of the car, the other side was so tight you couldn't open the door without hitting the concrete wall. Apartment was clean but was a little dated. The frying pan was not non-stick. We had to go out and buy a new one because the one in the apartment was hopeless. Staff are nice and great to deal with. Rooms don't have air-conditioning which is a shame. It gets hot during summer and we had to sleep in the living room because the heat was unbearable

The view and location is nice, but that is where it ends sadly. By the pictures I thought we were staying in a nice apartment with a spa bath and large ocean view, I was very very wrong. The photos on booking.com are of the superior rooms so make sure if you do stay and you want a nice room you book that. I specifically wanted to stay in a room with a spa bath because it’s something our apartment we live in doesn’t have and I really just wanted a weekend away to relax. The car park is a nightmare and absolutely horrific with how tight the spots are if you have an SUV. The building is ancient so EVERYTHING is key access even to exit the car park there is no sensors you must manually insert the key to open and close but because the key hole is positioned so low to the ground you have to get out of the car every time which is tough when you’re 30 weeks pregnant. The apartment we stayed in was 2 bedroom not 1 but I don’t know how you could possibly stay with 4 people as the hot water tank is so tiny I only got to have less then 30 seconds of hot water which is far from relaxing. The furniture was outdated and very worn, the bedding was stained and the mattress was far too soft. We also only had 2 pillows on the bed to try and share between my partner and I which was very difficult. I did send an email to management on the first night letting them know my disappointment but i basically was told I booked the wrong room and should’ve paid extra to get a nicer room and they aren’t a hotel they are privately owned apartments. Understandable but you’d think that as management you would have some standards of each owner to what the apartments must look like. The lady at reception was lovely upon arrival however it is just a shame that there wasn’t any compassion in the reply to my email I sent on the first night. I understand some management aren’t willing to upgrade a room however an offer to bring up 2 new pillows would’ve been a nice idea. Personally wouldn’t stay again and i definitely do recommend anyone who is use to staying in 4-5 star places does not stay here because you’ll find yourself...

Neat and tidy. Quite spacious. Clean with very tight security (maybe even too tight with carpark requiring key to get out from under building (fire escape needs if you left the key upstairs??). PARKING by the way was a bit of a nightmare; tiny and huge pylon right in the middle which made our new cars reverse camera VITAL! (even then it often took many attempts!) - Glad we took that car, as no way would my big Ford fit! Have to now compare it closely to a place in Auckland for bad parkability!

Only issue at all was that the adjoining restaurant inadvertently let kids into games room area while I was having a sauna (which is BIG by the way and good), disturbing my peace greatly with their noise and carrying on...Reported this to restaurant once I was upstairs, having short-termed my sauna, and they were most apologetic; seems they had entrusted access for parents to accompany kids, WHICh they didn't!) - Seemed a genuine mistake which hopefully they'll learn from.

Hardly the fault of the motel itself though, but was the only mar on the stay. Views were ok; not strictly of an uninterrupted view as I imagined by the description, but fine. Oh yeah; had to fiddle with TV as volume was preset to a tiny level, hardly audible. Other than my unfortunate experience above; noise level was great - no other tenants heard.

Would rate it 4/5 stars on the basis only that its not a premium level motel, but nor does it advertise it as being so. Price was fair at

I tried to book this property via multabile booking company's online it was to hard to navigate and the forms were not accepting my details... Far to Difficult for Octogenarians to Manage.

I rang the Managers Direct and got a Live, Friendly, Polite Lady i explained my dates, and requirements mainly a Secure Locked Garage section, she replied with everything i needed i booked and confirmed 4 nights over the labour day weekend, Simple and easy she was so helpful.

The day before i arrived ( sunday ) i got a text explaining how & where to get the keys to our unit, on arrival all went smoothly getting into the unit, & garage, we got i believe an upgrade 11fl ocean front unit, spotlessly clean 2br, large lounge. Tv. everything you would need for a short or long stay... the views from the unit and Balcony were Awesome.

we also had access to the rooftop BBQ, and seating area great place for evening drinks & snacks or dinner, a bit windy Who Cares..

During our time there we met the manager who was super friendly and helpful, ...Dankie Mariska... for our Great unit, and all of your Advice...

we also dined at the Italian in house restaurant great atmosphere, smart service from the friendly Lady, Good choice of wines, Tasty Italian Food,

We found Most things close by and with in walking distance. we luved the Peace & Serenity of this apartment complex.

we often had 2 semi tame Rainbow Lorikeets perching on our Balcony I could almost touch them when i took fotos of them unusual and no trees in sight.

We will return to this Friendly, professional, Helpful, well run Establishment, it was a Pleasure to deal with a No Nonsense, Old Fashioned, Courteous ...
