This is a complete SCAM of a place, food was so bad we left it on the plate. We were enticed by the appearance from the street but unfortunately didn’t check the reviews before going in. We can totally relate with every bad review left for this place.

We ordered bruschetta for starters ant $12.9 and nothing was fresh or remotely close to the original flavours. The owner who was rocking around in a tracksuit told us he was from Nepal and that’s his version of it - they prepare it at 11am to marinate?! Chewy tomatoes, lots of juice and some pesto in the mix, no idea why.

We ordered the Barramundi for $42 which tasted like it was caught from the harbour and frozen, with no real flavour, just wet and muddy. It got served with a very sad looking salad with rock sized cucumber, and fries with a plastic squeeze-tube ketchup to enhance their flavour. Turned out there was no need for the additional chip dressing as we found some chips that were alright and were in fact the highlight of experience.

My partner ordered the seafood marinara $29.9 and it tasted like something you get out of a pack again so tasteless it was not worth eating it. Frozen prawns and muscles not worth chancing.

There is nothing authentic about this place so much that from the moment we walked in til we walked out we felt scammed.

They offered a discount which only represented $10 on the bill. We were so disappointed and angry after reading other reviews, Absolute sham and true insult to...

Do not be fooled by this Italian "visage" restaurant! Once we sat on our seat, we were shown and served nothing that represented an Italian restaurant. It was operated and served by people of none Italian background. Therefore, the food came out far from what we expected of what an Italian dish should be. The oysters were warm and tasteless. The veal was tough, undercooked veggies and cut as if we were on camping trip (large and oversize veggie pieces- no finess); served with runny sauce like a minestrone soup. The chicken scallopini was overcooked; again with a watery mushroom soup. Meanwhile, an observation noted whilst we were seating there. One table asked for a beer and got given an eftpos machine for a bill. Since when a "BEER" becomes a "BILL". Also, a waitress got confused to which table to serve the wine until we intervened and directed to the correct table.

In summary, this Italian restaurant is poorly run by countrymen that do not represent Italy from a culinary point of view. The staff clearly indicated to us that they are untrained in the hospitality industry. Their understanding of the English language was poorly functional. This is an oversight of the management and the people that own this restaurant.

What an embarassing experience from an Australian point of view especially with a restaurant located in the heart of the tourist region in Sydney...God help...

Ok after reading reviews we walked in not knowing what to expect from our meal but decided to wait before judging. We both left very happy so the 5+ review is worthy.

They were very busy on Saturday night but a lovely waiter made sure he knew everyone out front was acknowledged. With our pre booked reservation we were quickly seated near a lovely sandstone wall and given menus. There was a 10 minute wait for service but that’s not bad!

We decided on ordering drinks and meals in one go to save waiting too long just in case we couldn’t be seen (the restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside!).

The wines per glass are well priced and plenty of water given. Our meals of Veal Scallopine alla Funghi and Chicken prawns and mushrooms (Pollo e Gamberi) were superb! So much flavour with cracked pepper giving zing and accompanying mixed vegetables of broccolini, broccoli, carrot, zucchini and capsicum not carb laden at all!! So tasty!

With the location and price we were very happy. The staff were run off their feet but managed to keep everyone happy around us. We will definitely return again next time we are in Sydney.

P.S those pasta dishes looked huge so bring...

If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is not the place for you. The location is excellent, service was great. However none of the dishes we ordered had the mmm factor. The Caprese was just stacks of tomatoes, leave of basil, slice of moz. Drizzle of balsamic as garnish. Not seasoned properly, could use lot more olive oil. The menu says bread stick, none to be found. Could i eat it if i added little salt - yes. Was it worth $24.90? NO! The ousters were fresh, only lemon for garnish. The provided sauce was just vinegar with some chopped chives. The bruschetta came with soggy bread and tomatoes that tasted more like old salsa. The Focaccia or so called pizza bread tasted and felt a lot like from a frozen bag. Same for the pizzas. Don't expect someone to be rolling out dough in the kitchen. The Spaghetti Marinara had no taste at all, the sauce was slippery and not sticking to the pasta, like from a jar. Adding lot of parmesan cheese did not help. The garlic bread also felt like pre-heated frozen product. Like i mentioned, not impossible to eat, just not authentic Italian flavors.
