The caravan park has clean facilities and the best showers I’ve ever had at a holiday park. The location is great, right next to the water. Some spots are lovely, some are not! We had an awful one assigned for our 8 day stay, really tight to get into (glad we had the purpleline mover on the van), backed on to the road, next to a permanent site van and no slab. We asked for another spot, with a slab, once the Easter crowds moved out and I negotiated the spot next to us which at least had a slab but then realised some of the much better spots were available for the rest of our stay which was really annoying as I wasn’t offered those and we were there for another 5 nights. So, ask for a slab (I had to pay extra when I moved -$6 for 5 nights???), ask to not be next to the road and ask to be where the tow bar is on a hill sloping back rather than forwards - we had real trouble getting the car hitched on as the tow bar was tipped so low and there was a broken drain and lip in the gutter. There is no way of opting out of their texts if you sign in online too - I got plagued with advertisements and meaningless announcements every day - sometimes 3-4 a day. Photos are first 3 day spot with no slab, new spot where caravan had to have 2 wheels on and 2 off slab as was too tight to fit down next to it, the sites that were vacant and would have been nice and the drain and hitching woes. The photos of the beach and water are a quick and easy walk away.

The rooms are basic and quite dated, but they did the job. Apart from the shower’s water pressure, the mattress was definitely the highlight of the entire experience considering the positive aspects of our stay. Upon entering the room for the first time, there was a common, nostalgic aroma which took me back to a place that I was familiar with but couldn’t quite put my finger on… A rich, lemony freshness that my wife just could not share the same feeling for. It didn’t take me long to find the source of this intoxicating bouquet. Nestled on top of the wardrobe was a familiar yellow dorito which one could mistake for an exfoliating shower scrubber, but was in fact a urinal mat, brightening my weekend. Not to ‘take the piss’ too much though. It was a great location and we had fun for the couple of nights we were there.

A very nice place that is well located near the beach and shops and is only a short bike ride to foster. It is near the Rockpool swim area in case the surf is a little rough. The facilities are quite good with nice showers and a single power outlet and water outlet per site. Activities wise it is a little light on with only a tennis court and kids play area but this was more than enough for our requirements as we spent most of our time at the beach or on the river. It has a very friendly vibe and is fairly strict about their noise restrictions, so no partying after 10pm. Overall a great place to spend some time away especially with the kids (it looked like they had daily activities planned to keep them entertained).

My fiancee and I booked in to stay at the Tuncurry Holiday Park for 4 days. We travelled from Brisbane to attend a community sporting event, which the park apparently was a supporting organisation. We decided to stay at the park over other accommodation to support the event sponsors. We now deeply regret this decision. We arrived and checked in at the office to a "greeting" that I can only describe as hostile. The elderly female manager was rude and dismissive. We booked an ensuite 2 bedroom cabin and upon opening the door we were hit with a terrible stench of 'staleness'. The cabin obviously had few occupants in the past months. In the bedroom we then noticed mould on the walls, which explained the terrible smell. My partner and I both suffer from hay fever so we immediately began to sneeze. We felt we did not have to be subjected to those conditions so we went back to the office to request a move to a different cabin. The woman was even more rude to us this time after we politely asked to be moved due to the mould. Because the woman refused to get out of her chair she called out to her husband to attend to us. Both stated the rooms are cleaned daily and that no rooms had mould. He walked us over to our mouldy cabin where we showed him the mould. He categorically refused to admit the black matter all over the walls was mould and that the cabin didn't smell. He then moved us to a different cabin (a smaller one bedroom cabin, plus we didn't receive any refund for the downgrade) which immediately smelled fresher and had no mould. We stayed in the cabin but were so underwhelmed by the quality of the cabin. The curtain that divides the bedroom from the kitchen was absolutely disgusting with stains all over it from goodness knows what. Although we planned to spend some time in the cabin relaxing, we ended up just wanting to be away from it as it was a depressing dirty little hovel. Upon leaving the park, the woman was again rude and refused to even get out of her chair to take back the key and forced me to bend over the counter to place the key in her hand while she sat. We were absolutely disgusted with the "service" and facilities and will never again stay in this holiday park, and have let all of our family and friends know of our...

Honestly if it wasn't for the location of this park we would never stay.

We booked a slab powered site. We were allocated. Site A17 (I think) which was in between two onsite vans. The site was that narrow mainly due to the light post and power/water connections - you could not get your van beside the slab ( we have a small van) therefore we had to park the van on the slab this is annoying for many reasons with a child. This site should be allocated to campers. Not vans.

Across from us was a very large group who had 3 sites allocated, there were 4 vehicles on one site with the other two sites having each a car, boat & caravans . This made it extremely hard even getting our car in and out of our site. Understandably it was a long weekend so we did expect some riff raff however this was next level for a "family friendly park". The profanities coming from these sites was atrocious. Not to mention the loud music and banter continued well past 11pm. These sites also had numerous dogs which remained off leads at all times. We approached the occupants of the site only to be met with hostility.

There were no patrols from management whatsoever.

I did approach management asking if they could at least send a reminder about dogs are to be on leads..( this was also a large breed dog that charged onto our site with a small child) i was advised this would happen however the animals remained off leash for the remainder of our stay. Once again never saw any kind of patrol from management. I also advised that the group was rowdy and rude and the response I received was "oh you get that sometimes"

Facilities have not been upgraded for who knows how long.

This park could be excellent with some strict management and a...

Unfriendly, grumpy managers and reception.

Almost nothing provided and said that it's about law(she said people can take the washing sponge and use it on their car instead wash the dishes so we dont put anything, you should bring everything with you) they were such rude and not helpfull at all (even no dishwasher anything in the kitchen(we went and bought from coles, came back to wash the dishes)

expensive(small camp site -$62/day for 2ppl)

The kitchen's almost 5-10 mins walk from our camp site and It was so small. In the morning they do pancakes with some machinary and we waited half an hour to use the kitchen to have some breakfast because the guy(manager, receptionist and also chef of the pancakes) was rude and did not want to share the kitchen unless he finishes. We just tried but it's just so hard to cheer these guys at all.

Camp site almost doesn't have any grass - It was muddy(when we packed back, the car got muddy inside as well).

They told us there will be lots of activities on the phone when booking with expensive day rate in Australia day long weekend and they said it's included in the money we pay - It was just playing 'Cars' cartoon movie and some pancakes that you wouldnt want to eat : /

You can't walk to the town center.

Note: We had such a good camping in One Mile Beach Holiday Park in Nelson Bay in christmas and wanted to do camping again this time in Forester but this holiday park was not really the place we...
