I had high hopes for this place. Came in on a relatively quiet Saturday morning. Order take away: 2x coffees, a bacon and egg roll and a toasted Turkish sandwich with ham and cheese. Coffee came out lightning quick and beautiful. Waited 30 minutes for food, within this time they had dropped the price of their Turkish sandwiches considerably right in front of me. A person came in after my order was taken about 15 minutes, he got his coffees and food before me. 5 minutes passed and I looked at the person serving and she asked about my order and if I wanted her to check. She comes back out of kitchen saying 5 minutes. 10 minutes later food comes out. I get back to my accommodation to find they hadn't given me the right order. They made me a tomato and cheese toasted sandwich. After waiting over 30 minutes for food to see they lower the price and for the order to be wrong is very poor service, I should of been offered the difference in the price drop and since special note on order for ham and cheese not tomato ham and cheese. I will...

We went to Rookpool for my birthday lunch & was really looking forward to it as always What's happened to the lovely cafe thats always been there. Theres hardly any seating & whats there is so pathetic they have taken away most of the tables & chairs inside & out they have put some benches outside that look like someone made them in their backyard.. The food was ok but the order took just on 1 hr to arrive it was only fish & chips then it was given in a brown takeaway type container with bamboo knife & fork no plate or proper utensils so we had to struggle to eat the food.& were so disappointed. I love going there & go often the food has always been lovely. If new management think this is good well I hate to tell them its so poor. I live locally but won't be coming back i dont mind change generally but this is not change that is good sometimes it works but this doesn't..I'm so disappointed cant believe that in 2 weeks you could destroy are really lovely...

Went to the Rockpool yesterday 2/1/24 at 1.45pm the lady in front of me tried to order but was advised the kitchen closed at 2pm ? It wasn’t the fact they she was advised this but the way she was advised ! OMG the way she was spoken to by the older lady who worked there was disgusting. I was just going to order coffee for six of us , but after listening to that I just walked away and went to beach bums in Forster where their kitchen closes at 3pm ! I always give a new business a chance and I did this yesterday , after knowing the cafe had been taken over from the previous people . However I do not know how they expect to run a business closing before time and most of all the attitude and the way they speak to customers ! Customers are your business ! I am local and after my visit I won’t be going back, neither will I be telling anyone else to go there ! Also the choice of food is non existent !! Good luck getting a...

Ordered two big breakfasts & pancakes, pancakes not available, swapped to raisin toast for child’s meal. Food was disgusting. Sourdough toast was so hard it couldn’t even be cut with a steak knife, butter was rock hard and couldn’t be spread across the cold toast, poached eggs were well overcooked & cold, mushrooms were soggy and tasted awful, hash brown half soggy, bacon like rubber. Asked for salmon on the side of one and it was put right on top of everything in the middle. The raisin toast was so beyond thick it was completely cold and not even warmed through the middle and the butter was useless. We had to change tables 3 times before we found somewhere suitable with pram. The whole meal was a complete disappointment. We weren’t acknowledged by staff even once. We 100% won’t be returning. Meals cost $60.00+

Very popular cafe, right next to the Rockpools. Sit inside or grab a takeaway and sit on the grass or beach nearby. Nice menu, with friendly young staff except for the stressed out owner who was a bit short on a smile and pleasant manner when I discovered I’d said I was sitting in and then had to sit at nearby picnic tables as all the cafe tables were full! I felt like I had my knuckles wrapped for saying I was sitting in! But my steaming chai latte and plated eggs Benny were rapidly converted to a paper cup and box for a ‘takeaway’. All good eventually (although I forgot to take my cursory food photos!). 🥴😊👍

Ordered 1 coffee and 2 milk shakes. The service was friendly and polite. There were plenty of people there, especially locals, at sunrise. Was a great place to sit and watch the sunrise and watch the day start. The cafe is located in a great spot w a netted swimming spot right in front of the cafe. There is plenty of free parking in an open car park. There is a fantastic playground for all ages at the opposite end of the car park and a toilet block behind the cafe. I'm not sure if they have showers. I would definitely go back.
