What a complete liar and idiot Yamaha George is for writing such an inaccurate review.||There is no industrial estate at all. Yes there is a Toyota garage and workshop facing the hotel but that is all. I hate liars, don't you? We never heard any noise or nuisance from there at all during our weeks stay. ||The hotel staff were excellent, amusing and very helpful. The food was great every meal and always bear in mind, you are abroad and eating locally produced fresh food, not something you eat every day in your own kitchen, local pub or neighbourhood. Surely if something is not to your liking you are at liberty and should feel free to communicate your issues with the staff or management. Be adult enough to have that conversation rather then being cowardly and slagging a very nice hotel off on this much read forum. If you want shopping, why go into the mountains? ||Having had such a good stay on our recent Shearings holiday to the Little Trains of Austria tour I can highly recommend this to anyone. My only criticism would be the pillows which was a recurring topic from other guests. Perhaps an investment in better pillows would be something for the hotel management to consider? A safe is always useful and convenient which could also be a management consideration. ||WiFi was free and available in most rooms and around the hotel whenever we tried so no complaints from us on that. There was a soap dispenser in every shower cubicle, just lean in and squeeze gently with one hand and catch the soap in your other hand, not complicated really. If soap is so important to an individual, take your own. So many petty gripes it bores me senseless. What a miserable person you are George, I'm so glad this individual went the week before me. The entertainment which was provided free of charge was a piano accordionist who was brilliant, entertaining and amused us all. An evening which will live long in my memory as will the whole trip and experience. ||I'm not trying to glorify this hotel, just setting the...

Read moreWe travelled with Shearings for a family holiday and were in the Standlhof for 5 nights. We had booked 2 rooms (one single and one double). The rooms were spacious, clean and had very comfortable beds. The shower was a good size and was also spotlessly clean. The rooms also had a balcony which overlooked the mountains, not a bad way to go to bed or wake up in the morning! ||The real jewel in the crown of this hotel though, is it's restaurant, bar and staff members who could do no more to make you feel welcome and at home. A special note has to go out to Elisabeth and Janos who were our main servers at breakfast, dinner and in the bar. They were charismatic, charming and laughed and joked with us in German, English and anything in between (of which there were lots!). ||The food in the hotel was of amazing quality, cooked to perfection. The breakfast buffet had everything that you could wish for. The Dinners Wiener Schnitzel was particularly good, my wife developed a soft spot for their Boullion Soup starter. At one point we didn't fancy the choice of mains for an evening meal, so Elisabeth sorted us out some Sausages and Chips and Ham and Cheese Toasties (which were lovely). ||The fantastic bar had a very authentic feel and a lovely terrace that folded around the side and the front of the hotel. There was also an accordion player on one night, Martin, I think he has called, who entertained us all. ||The drinks prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for the area, not expensive at all.||In speaking with some of the other guests, we were all blown away by the hotel and staff. ||A great base to see the Tyrolean scenery and experience the amazing culture and friendliness of the Austrian people.||Thanks for having us and we do wish that we will see...
