Very good located near center. Style is some old fashion with elements from eastern Europe. Building is mostly taken care of but not upgraded. It can deserve 3 stars, but not 4. Hotel has just breakfast salon, but no real restaurant. And no bar either. It has a small snack counter you pay for in reception. Bedd of queen size. Mattress could be better quality. Needs more options for light in room. Found only two free electric outlets. Lightbulbs that are broken needs to be changed. Bathroom has not enough light for makeup! Not all rooms have bathtube as stated in description - our had small dark shower. Bathroom was about 4 - 4,5 m2. Missing also bathrobe and slippers. Window could be better about sound isolation. Free wifi - was just enough for email. I forgot to meter the speed, but guess on half megabyte second. Positive factors: friendly and helpful staff. Safe in room fits a 14" laptop. Refrigerator in room. Hotel sentral ventilation manages to cool down then it's 30 degrees out. Sound isolation against hall seems ok.

This place is absolutely overpriced considering the mediocre facilities and rooms; I really have no idea how this can be considered '4 stars'. The majority of the staff we interacted with seemed either borderline rude or unprofessional. The main source of my dissatisfaction from the stay was the fact that a ceiling panel in our bathroom collapsed out of nowhere and partly hit my cousin in the head. He was lucky to be unharmed. When we informed the reception of this, the receptionist seemed almost completely indifferent, not showing any concern for my cousin and seemed confused on how to tackle this, until she merely told us to wait for another employee to inspect it. We were then moved to some, smaller and smoke-smelling reserve room, putting us at inconveince as a result of their faulty building and we weren't even offered any formal apology. We are never going back to this place or any other NH-hotel and I whole-heartedly recommend anyone travelling to Vienna to look for a better alternative.

Our Senior University group from Madrid stayed here at the beginning of June for 3 nights. Comfortable well situated hotel next to tramline 71 which goes direct to the historic centre (walkable in 20-25 mins). In need of some refurbishment. We had a large room with a lovely view over the main Rennweg and the good double glazing kept out any traffic noise. Very narrow single beds and an uncomfortable shower in a bath. The buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of variety. The staff are friendly and efficient. And something one really appreciates every time one gets back to the hotel: cold water dispensers with different changing flavours: orange, lemon, mint and cucumber. A really welcome touch.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a nice old building without any issues except perhaps a bit loud ventilation. It used to house the royal printing facility, which is why there's art relating to printing everywhere - the piece in my room was based on an old Swedish poster for a printing press, which was particularly funny as I am Swedish. The building has been properly refurbished into a hotel, with some nice and somewhat fancy common areas. The staff, in contrast, are very down-to-earth and warm (yet professional), creating a very inviting environment. My compliments to everyone working here; you seem to all be doing an excellent job!

The location is good, off-centre so less busy but just a short walk from the central train station. It's not far at all to walk into the city centre, either. There are trams right outside that head straight into some of the most visit-worthy areas of town, and a stone's throw away there are yet more communications.

When I arrived early, my room wasn't ready, but I could use a restroom to fix myself up and have my luggage stored safely, tagged as to not be retrieved by someone else. My room was very spacious for a single and the bed was supportive but not too stiff. Clean enough. The thermostat seemed to not quite work and really struggled on a hot day.

The breakfast (make sure to include it!) was not huge but overall really good, with just enough options to get some variation when staying a few days. A lot of different pastries are served, of course, but these were maybe the weakest link. They vary the kinds of sausages and "Austrian specialties" served each day.

There is a wellness area in the basement, with a basic gym (free weights and several machines) as well as a steam room and sauna (gender separated changing rooms but common facilities). They have it available 24 hours a day, you just need to ask for the relax facilities to be heated up in advance when you want to use them. I could ask for a particular time the next day and they were on it without issues. Really nice.

Finally, I appreciate that there is an effort to be eco-friendly. One way this showed was that for each night you stayed but did not require cleaning, you got a voucher to trade in for snacks or drinks. A small gesture but a great one,...

It was really disappointing unfortunately! We are GHA Discovery member who decided to try out this new hotel chain who just joined in GHA recently, because the price is competitive comparing to Kempinski. From the price, we of course didn’t expect the 5 stars service, but this is worse than 3 stars!!!😰 On arrival, there were two staff at the front and none smiled once…😶 We booked prepaid rate and had also a confirmation email, but they said we didn’t pay, so I was really surprised, because I went through the payment process and wanted to show the email confirmation to the hotel, they refused and they would talk to their manager 🤯 Okay well we were staying for 2 nights, we had time to sort it, but the same night, they called, CALLED, to ask us to show the proof of payment that I wanted to show, but we were lying out son down for bedtime 🤬 The next day they automatically charged our credit card without telling us, when we asked they said it would be a deposit, well it would have been nice to tell us in advance though!!! Then they asked me to check the credit card, because they might not have taken the money when I prepaid, and yes it seemed the holding amount was lifted, and the manager said they would charge the hotel room on this new charging/holding amount… Still never anyone was sorry for all the troubles and call, but at least she greeted with a smile and said she would take care of her staff! Then the next morning where we thought everything was done, my credit card was charged again for the amount of the room additionally!!! So we complained at the checkout and wanted the initial money that was charged to be returned, because usually they should inform us before any charges made!!! This one staff apologized with a professional smile which made it a bit better, but this whole troubles for the short visit is not worth it at all. So this is a lesson for us that we shouldn’t pay less for unreliable service. Imagine someone who had to continue the trip and would need the credit card or someone who really looked forward to visiting Austria and Vienna and had to feel unwelcome by smileless people at the hotel they paid staying for...

We arrived on a Sunday at 11:30am. Knowing check-in was not until 3pm, we dropped off our luggage and decided to wander the town for a few hours. Unfortunately, not 50meters from the hotel, my daughter vomited and became sick. We decided walking around was not a great idea as she was clearly sick. We went back to the hotel, explained the situation to reception, told them we'd wait in reception until our room was ready, and asked them to let us know if they are able to expedite our room so a sick person could lie down and have easy access to a washroom. They acknowledged this and then proceeded to leave us in reception, watching from afar without any offer to help as my daughter vomited her stomach contents 4, FOUR more times! I approached the desk every hour and asked them to check if the room was ready to no avail. Not until I approached the desk at 3pm(!!), the actual check-in time, did they finally provide us with a room key.

We travel a lot. In fact, on this particular trip spanning 5 weeks, we stayed in a total of 6 hotels. We are generally very tolerant of hiccups, mishaps, and inconveniences as we travel. We also know that when checkout time is 11am in a large and not-full hotel, it does NOT take 4 hours to prepare a single room. Furthermore, in all my travels, I have never come across such uncaring, callus staff that do nothing to help a guest when a guest is literally vomiting in their reception area during a pandemic for over 3 hours!! Other guests walking in and out of the hotel were, quite understandably, horrified. We were horrified. We stayed calm and patient, because we had no other options. We asked for plastic bags for my daughter to contain any mess, and they gave us paper bags! Paper bags that leaked on the floor!! We were using napkins wherever we could find them to wipe the floor and they still didn’t help. The weekend staff were horrible, incompetent, callus, and simply unprofessional. I really don’t know what...
