Rotana Hotel Bahrain Bay — Hotel in Sea Front

This is the last time I deal with anything operated or owned by Rotana.

For SAR 1400 a night this hotel is not worth it and there are better, more luxurious options out there owned by companies who operate with higher quality and service standards (i.e., Hilton, Sheraton, Hyatt... etc).

The reception staff will not ask you if you have a "smoking" or "non-smoking" preference, and would put you randomly on a smoking floor where you and your clothes will smell like burnt cigarettes.

Management and reception staff are not helpful, and would give you fake promises of "I will help you next time you visit" when you have already sworn you will not visit again due to the bad quality of rooms and poor service.

The rooms are connected via thin doors and walls that will allow you to know at what exact time your neighbor started smoking, and how heavy of smokers they are. Also it will allow you to feel free to join in their conversations, and to know at what time they went out and what time they came back.

Too bad experience, very crowded at the entrance no valet parking available!!! The check in disaster more than 10 minutes and you need pay insurance!!! Is there any 5 hotels required that these days??? moving to room different story, the balcony locked you can’t open it until call reception to open it!! The AC was too hot and the floor was covered with water vapor and was sleepy!!! Change room but the AC has the same issue!! I stayed only one night I didn't have time to move from to another room. I tried their breakfast only, the variety was very good, with so many options with decent quality. Staff processing looks like it needs to improve, but it's normal since the place isn't officially opened.
