To be honest, I was quite unsure of how Fu Wang Dominous Resort would turn out to be when my family booked it for our visit this time to Cox's Bazaar; but surely I was happy because of the main attraction of this place - right by the beach.||Located right beside Laboni beach, Fu Wang Resort is a rare find of an accommodation in Cox's Bazaar which does justice to the "on the beach" filter. Its just a small walk away to the waves and sometimes that is more preferable than what many other big hotels with more facilities can provide but you have to take a transportation/vehicle to go to the beach.||The good parts also include a nice outer area, juice bar and garden seating area in front, Dominous Pizza and Koyla right inside the compound. The rooms are nice, can be improved way more but it was above any other standard BUDGET hotel, where I must say this one is a good for your budget when you compare the prices. (Note: it will look nicer if you include normal bulb yellow lights instead of the white lights in the room - gives a more hotel room ambiance).||However, a lot more to be done where, swimming pool is a MUST! We had to go to another place for swimming and it was quite inconvenient so I hope a pool is built soon enough. Room safe lockers should be installed!! The breakfast was good compared to the price and complimentary with room as well but the menu needs to be changed from day to day as its the same every morning; plus a little continental items should be added to it too and the juice served at breakfast must be changed as it was horribly bad. The Dominous Pizza interior should be jazzed up a little bit too, while Koyla had a nice outdoorsy feeling being open, which I usually like. ||Heard about the live music held in the compound but did not get to experience it this time, some other time maybe.||The rates and costs are quite affordable and the provision was good too, we had quite a good experience during our visit but a message to the authority: Please improvise and maintain the...
Read moreWorst experience ever! Do NOT trust the overly positive reviews from vloggers like Araf Intisar Dipto. I made the mistake of booking this resort based on his review, and it turned out to be the worst decision ever.
From the moment I arrived, everything was disappointing. No welcome drink, dirty bedsheets, smelly rooms, and an absolutely disgusting bathroom! One of the windows lock weren’t even working. The shower knobs were so tight that I literally spent 15 minutes behind it to use. Bedsheet had lizard shit on it!!!! It felt like they have no sense of hygiene or hospitality. The breakfast menu is pathetic—they don’t even serve milk tea! And to make things worse, they turn off the generator for 30-40 minutes at a time, leaving guests in discomfort. They were unable to serve me tea as they couldn’t boil water due to LOAD SHEDDING!!!!! Which professional resort does that?
This place is a complete disaster! If you don’t want to ruin your holiday, stay far away from this so-called resort. You’ll find much better hotels in this price range. Unprofessional, unhygienic, and totally not...
Read moreI really liked the place very much. ||||What I think good about the place:||1. Very clean and neat.||2. Just meters away from top quality Indian food restaurants (Koyla and Handi).||3. 2-minute walk to Laboni Beach.||4. Good security (after all the Tourism Police office is their next door neighbor).||5. Green compound.||6. Above standard room amenities (compared to room tariff).||7. Supportive staff.||||What I think NOT good about the place:||1. Only 2 storey tall.||2. Rooms get hot faster as the rooms are on the 1st floor (just under the roof)||3. Sea-view rooms won't be worth the tariff.||4. Garden is not neat rather quite bushy.||5. Road-side rooms are not quiet.||6. No swimming pool.||||Good to know that:||1. The restaurants (KOYLA and DOMINOIUS PIZZA) within the resort compound are chains from Dhaka.||2. The staff are not very comfortable in English.||3. Live music is arranged regularly within the compound.||4. WiFi is available at every corner of...
