A Serene Coastal Haven : Joltorongo Rest House, Laboni Beach, Cox’s Bazar
Tucked along the pristine stretch of Laboni Beach, Joltorongo Rest House offers a remarkable blend of location, luxury, and leisure. It stands as one of the closest accommodations to the Bay of Bengal, granting guests uninterrupted access to the rhythmic pulse of the sea a truly unmatched advantage.
The architectural design of the property subtly captures the essence of modern coastal living. From the moment of arrival, guests are warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks and cool wet towels, a thoughtful gesture that reflects the establishment’s attention to guest comfort. The front desk team is professional, courteous, and efficient, setting a tone of reliability and hospitality.
The rooms are tastefully appointed with ambient lighting, contemporary décor, and a focus on cleanliness and comfort. Housekeeping services are prompt and consistent, contributing significantly to the overall satisfaction of guests.
One of the most striking features of Joltorongo is its multiple swimming pools, each catering to different needs. The infinity pool provides a surreal visual merge with the ocean, while the dedicated kids’ pool ensures safety and fun for younger guests. An additional pool on the second floor, again with a children’s section, offers further variety and relaxation.
For culinary experiences, the third-floor restaurant delivers not only delectable meals but also sweeping views of the sea a truly elevated dining experience. For those seeking an open-air ambiance, the sixth-floor rooftop BBQ restaurant is a delight, particularly during sunsets, when the horizon glows over grilled delicacies.
Families will also appreciate the presence of a spacious playground, providing younger guests with ample room to play and explore within a safe environment.
Despite its many strengths, Joltorongo does exhibit minor shortcomings. Service during peak hours may occasionally be delayed, and there remains room for expanding in-room amenities to match the expectations of more discerning travelers. However, these issues are relatively minor and do not overshadow the overall positive experience.

Read more#Short review: if you want to stay in an almost 5-star quality hotel with an excellent view and unlimited pool, this is the place where you want to go. As a civilian, you will get OK service but not a 5 star one. Also, this is the nearest hotel to the beach. Warning, do not eat in their restaurants.
#Long review: I will describe everything about my experience in this hotel.
Room: I stayed in the executive deluxe room with a sea view. It was a good size room with an excellent view of the sea. There is a divan to enjoy the sea view. When my visit, the hotel is only 11months old, but it's interior is damaged in some parts of the room.
Washroom: The bathroom was good. But not a 5 STAR grade. A hotel that cost USD 250/night should have a better washroom.
Balcony: There is a balcony which is right in size. Two people can sit there. There are chairs on the balcony. Also, there is a folding clothes dryer so you can dry clothes on the balcony.
All-day dining Restaurant: Food is horrible. Too many mosquitoes out there. When I asked the waiter to solve the mosquito issue, he gave me a mosquito bat. How rude.
Rooftop Restaurant: Complimentary breakfast is served at the rooftop Restaurant. Breakfast is good. They also have a rooftop BBQ, which again OK but not the 5 STAR grade.
The coffee shop at the lobby: This is somewhat OK.
Infinity Pool: excellent. They vacuum the pool everyday morning.
Room service: Their room service is also not up to the mark. They left dart under the bed. But the room service boy was very polite and gentle.
Overall Employee Behibour: Their employees are well behaved but not the best one. They are robotic. Improvements are needed on their overall physical appearance and...
