I revisited the same hotel in 2025 and opted for a sea-view room this time—Room 7029 and it cost 5000 per night. Once again, I had a wonderful experience. The overall quality of the room, amenities, room service, breakfast, and security was impressive and consistent with my previous visit. The receptionist was very welcoming and made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. Room 7029 offered a beautiful view from the upper floors. However, a newly constructed hotel named Joltorongo now partially obstructs the full sea view, which was a bit disappointing but still manageable. The elevators were fast, smooth, and efficient, making it easy to move around the hotel. I also appreciated how well-maintained the swimming pool was—clean and inviting, just as you'd expect from a hotel of this standard. One area that could use improvement is the food pricing, which felt a bit on the higher side. That said, the buffet breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, most of which were delicious, and the staff ensured that empty trays were refilled promptly, which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and amenities. Despite a minor setback with the view, it continues to be one of my top choices—and without a doubt, I’ll be returning again in the future. -------- Took an package (Summer) of 3 nights (4 days) worth of 13000 BDT from 15th - 18 th August. Overall experience is good but still they have lot more space to make more improvement. Here goes my full details experience with the - Hotel Cox Today 🛖Accommodation/Room: We got the room number 6011 which is actually a Hill View (Side Sea View) with a nice Balcony. Its equipped with - Some arts on wall, 2 large mirrors, 1 Sofa, 1 Table and Chair, Minibar, Television, Air Condition and nice decorated lights. I loved the balcony and it was having two extra chairs. Its really amazing experience to have cup of tea with your loved once. Instead of these what I feel is - the amenities and utilities weren’t worthy enough regarding the price range. The suppose to provide coffee/Tea sachets in their rooms. Bathrooms are clean. Housekeepers do a good job in tidying up everyday. For couple delux room, they should setup an buth tub there. 🛣️Location: The location is bit awkward. There is two way to reach the hotel. One way is from Sugandha Point from where the experience is totally worst as the entrance road was totally damaged and wastages was kept beside the road (The bad smell is quite enough to give negative experience). Another way is from Laboni point which is better than Sugandha point but still the road condition is not well enough. Beside you have to walk around more that half Kilometer to reach the beach or you have to take rickshaw. So, its 2.50 out of 5 for the location. 🍳 Breakfast: The offer complementary breakfast with the packages. They have lot of spaces to improve the breakfast. Specially they can add much more items of english breakfast. If foreigner comes to visit they then may not have good experience with breakgast. There was mostly Bengali Items like - Parata, Data, Rice/Khichuri, Chicken Curry etc. Some bread and corn-flex options are also there. The test of the foods are not up to date. They should change the food items and also change the chef. 🏊Swimming Pool: Me and my baby loved the swimming pool a lot. It opens from 9 AM and closed at 5:00 PM. It has Jacuzzi (which doen't provide hot water 😒), low dept pool for kids and normal pool for adult. At the evening, you can enjoy the pool side Bar-B-Q. But the costing bit high regarding the food test and quantity. The stuff were very welcoming and always ready to serve you. The lobby is really nice. From evening, you can enjoy the flute here. Must try their cookie which serve with coffee. For me, its not 5 star type hotel but I can give 3.5 with overall experience.

I had stayed on the fifth floor. The outlook from the front is nice as well as the security and swimming pool. However, the service was way lower than expected considering with th rent. We had requested for a triple beds. They did not set up the 2nd bed until we become fed up. We had to request them few times and they did set up the bed after 4 hours. Also there were no utilities in the washroom and we informed them to bring some, and they told us that they are coming. Unfortunately, they did not show up and we called them few times and then I by myself went to the room service to bring the utilities, which was very frustrating and disappointing as we had lost 2 valuable hours just waited for them. There we’re no large towel as well in the washroom. Also lots of mosquitoes but nobody came to spray ( did lost mind to ask them to come as they were not showing up on time). When we went out, we found that there were no locker but the instructions book about the locker. What a joke! Therefore, I requested them to bring one. Then the housekeeping told me that we have to request through front desk. We dared to ask them as we already got no result about the previous request. Then the breakfast. We had to check out early and after we informed them at check in, they told me that they will provide us breakfast as we won’t be able to join the breakfast buffet. They gave us breakfast at check out however, we were very disappointed as they gave us 2 egg ( dry), 1 apple (okay), toast without jam or jelly (dry), and dry cake, water. This items were were very difficult to swallow as all of them were dry. This hotel does not deserve such high rent.

A very dismal experience. Allow me to explain in details: The rooms: The rooms were unkept and stank of old furniture. The furniture had scratches and were old, almost going to fall apart. The washroom was NOT clean, and it always stank of drainage because the housekeepers themselves noted that the ventilation in the washroom were only on from 9am to 5pm. The attached balcony was extremely dusty and dirty, making it quite difficult for us to go to. The food/breakfast: The complimentary breakfast service was disappointing. There weren't many foods to choose from, and it severely lacked a kid-friendly menu (without spicy food). The AC in the banquet hall, where the buffet breakfast was served was not working, not accommodating to the number of guests in the hall, hence it started to become very warm and stuffy. The breads were stale and tasted old. The "fresh" juice every day was doused in sugar. Amenities: Upon entering the room, the fridge was not ON, hence unknown to our knowledge, the insulin and baby food I had stored were ruined. The room also lacked normal amenities, such as a kettle, tea, or tea/coffee cups. My overall opinion is that this hotel, while once it was a giant in providing excellent services, the hotel has fallen in keeping up to it's more recent competitors, thus also failing to provide proper services all guests desire while being on a holiday. Anyone wanting to stay with family, this hotel is a big NO NO! I would recommend going to Ocean Paradise, Sayeman or Best Western Heritage.

Room Quality: The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a cozy bed and fresh linens. The decor was modern yet welcoming, and the lighting created a pleasant ambiance. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with high-quality toiletries and a rainfall shower, giving it a luxurious feel. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room had all the essential amenities, including a coffee maker and a flat-screen TV.

Service and Staff: The staff were attentive and professional throughout my stay. They greeted me with warm smiles and were quick to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the staff offered helpful local recommendations. One thing that truly stood out was their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure guests felt comfortable.

Facilities and Amenities: The hotel had a good range of facilities, including a fitness center and a lounge area. One unique touch was the flute performance in the lobby every evening, creating a soothing and memorable atmosphere. It was a lovely way to wind down after a busy day.

Dining Experience: The on-site restaurant served a variety of dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were plenty of options to choose from, including fresh fruit, baked goods, and made-to-order omelets. The dining area was clean and spacious, with attentive staff refilling drinks and clearing tables promptly.

Location and Accessibility: The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance, and public transportation was easily accessible.

Value for Money: I found the stay to be good value for money, given the quality of the rooms, amenities, and service. While it’s not a budget option, the experience justifies the cost.

Unique Experience: One of the highlights of my stay was the evening flute performance in the lobby. It added a charming touch to the atmosphere and made the place feel special.

Areas for Improvement: The only minor downside was that the Wi-Fi connection was a bit inconsistent at times. It wasn’t a major issue, but a more stable connection would definitely enhance...
