I revisited the same hotel in 2025 and opted for a sea-view room this time—Room 7029 and it cost 5000 per night. Once again, I had a wonderful experience. The overall quality of the room, amenities, room service, breakfast, and security was impressive and consistent with my previous visit.
The receptionist was very welcoming and made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. Room 7029 offered a beautiful view from the upper floors. However, a newly constructed hotel named Joltorongo now partially obstructs the full sea view, which was a bit disappointing but still manageable.
The elevators were fast, smooth, and efficient, making it easy to move around the hotel. I also appreciated how well-maintained the swimming pool was—clean and inviting, just as you'd expect from a hotel of this standard.
One area that could use improvement is the food pricing, which felt a bit on the higher side. That said, the buffet breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, most of which were delicious, and the staff ensured that empty trays were refilled promptly, which I really appreciated.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and amenities. Despite a minor setback with the view, it continues to be one of my top choices—and without a doubt, I’ll be returning again in the future.
Took an package (Summer) of 3 nights (4 days) worth of 13000 BDT from 15th - 18 th August. Overall experience is good but still they have lot more space to make more improvement. Here goes my full details experience with the - Hotel Cox Today
🛖Accommodation/Room: We got the room number 6011 which is actually a Hill View (Side Sea View) with a nice Balcony. Its equipped with - Some arts on wall, 2 large mirrors, 1 Sofa, 1 Table and Chair, Minibar, Television, Air Condition and nice decorated lights. I loved the balcony and it was having two extra chairs. Its really amazing experience to have cup of tea with your loved once. Instead of these what I feel is - the amenities and utilities weren’t worthy enough regarding the price range. The suppose to provide coffee/Tea sachets in their rooms. Bathrooms are clean. Housekeepers do a good job in tidying up everyday. For couple delux room, they should setup an buth tub there.
🛣️Location: The location is bit awkward. There is two way to reach the hotel. One way is from Sugandha Point from where the experience is totally worst as the entrance road was totally damaged and wastages was kept beside the road (The bad smell is quite enough to give negative experience). Another way is from Laboni point which is better than Sugandha point but still the road condition is not well enough. Beside you have to walk around more that half Kilometer to reach the beach or you have to take rickshaw. So, its 2.50 out of 5 for the location.
🍳 Breakfast: The offer complementary breakfast with the packages. They have lot of spaces to improve the breakfast. Specially they can add much more items of english breakfast. If foreigner comes to visit they then may not have good experience with breakgast. There was mostly Bengali Items like - Parata, Data, Rice/Khichuri, Chicken Curry etc. Some bread and corn-flex options are also there. The test of the foods are not up to date. They should change the food items and also change the chef.
🏊Swimming Pool: Me and my baby loved the swimming pool a lot. It opens from 9 AM and closed at 5:00 PM. It has Jacuzzi (which doen't provide hot water 😒), low dept pool for kids and normal pool for adult. At the evening, you can enjoy the pool side Bar-B-Q. But the costing bit high regarding the food test and quantity.
The stuff were very welcoming and always ready to serve you. The lobby is really nice. From evening, you can enjoy the flute here. Must try their cookie which serve with coffee. For me, its not 5 star type hotel but I can give 3.5 with...
