Hotel Sea Crown — Hotel in Chattogram Division

Just checked in for a brief stay at Hotel Sea Crown, I'll describe my instant experience and shall add throughout the visit—to be evaluated as neither too bad nor particularly impressive.

The location is great, right by the beach, just get out of the hotel and enjoy beautiful sea views.

Booked Super deluxe room via Sharetrip, comes with a small balcony with building's corner sea view. But 1st floor room shall not give any view rather shall block sights with dirty side wall and kitchen rooms.

The check-in process was fast & smooth, the staff seemed welcoming. Overall, all the staffs from security guard to house keeping greeted very politely.

The room 216 was below average, old style mossaik foor, quite small not that spacious, the furnitures and interior decor looks outdated. Bed sheet, pillow covers and towels were fresh but this corner room had bad smell and near to smoking zone so felt very uncomfortable when someone at fire exit smoked. But rooms from 01-12 shouldn't have that problem. The 2nd & upper floor rooms are much better and sea view front side rooms may get too much heated at peak summer at direct sun ray.

Most difficult thing was the position of the toilet commode, totally not ideal for tall guys over 5'8". Legs get stucked and bamboo window shield was smelly dirty.

The AC cools at it's fullest strength but the biggest problem is remote doesn't work and infrared transceiver panel seems broken. Trying to cope up with the Freezing 17°C temp otherwise no choice than switching off!

Surprisingly no mini-bar no electric kettle. Guys only provided toothbrushes, comb, soap, bathgel & shampoo as room amenities, but said intercom shall provide anything required, housekeeing was cordial fast.

The biggest letdown is cleanliness. The room isn’t exactly dirty, yet it didn’t feel as fresh as I expected. The bathroom is quite congested has a few stains, and the toiletries provided is minimal.

The breakfast buffet had limited ordinary options, But Friday morning dishes had good taste. Restaurant staffs were friendly and proactive as well.

One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was its beachfront access. While the view was nice, the area has not much developed in terms of cleanliness despite superior hotels like Sayeman & Ramada are just beside.

To sum-up, Hotel Sea Crown shall feel okay if you’re looking for a very cheap budget-friendly stay too close to the beach, this is a quite old structured premises and Bangladeshi type 3* hotel so better to minimize expectation, you shalln't find anything exceptional. If the premises gets bit refurbished there’ll be several scopes for improvement. It has an exotic look like 80's style beach adjacent hotels so a bit modification shall make it impressive. Please let go the corner rooms like 215 & 216 these will bring you...

Location: Hotel Sea Crown is located on Kolatoli Beach and its very near to Dolphin Circle. The bus counters from this hotel is just walking distance. This Hotel is very near to sea beach and you can consider this as non crowded area than Sugandha Point. From here, the auto rickshaw is always available.

Stuff Behave: Hotel stuffs was very cordial and well mannered. The manager in counter was also very well behaved. The room service stuffs was very aware for keeping the room clean. They may come to you twice or thrice to check whether they cleaned your room. Even they don't ask any tips for any reason.

Buffet: They offer complementary buffet with the package. They keeps around 10-12 Items in buffet which are good in test. Specially you'll really link the Daal with chicken. They refill every dish so quickly that you'll be please with there service.

Hotel Room and amenities: Hotel rooms and beds are very clean. They have 6 types of room. We stayed at: Super Deluxe Triple, Super Deluxe and Sea Front Deluxe. From Sea front deluxe, you can enjoy the beach and sea waves from you room Balcony. From other two. you can get the side view of beach. All type of rooms has a very neat bathroom consisting of geyser system for hot water. But the water speed of the shower need to be fixed. You'll get 1 water bottle everyday. On the first day, you'll receive - Shampoo, Body wash, Brush, toothpaste, Body lotion, clean towels. In Covid time they gave hand sanitized and face mask too which is really very welcomed. For some room, AC needs to be fixed as sometime ice small pieces comes from it. Beside a wall wardrobe, trash bin, small table, Sofa, Intercom etc are available on deluxe room. They need to provide bucket on bathroom as visitor needs to wash cloths after coming from beach.

In a word, this hotel would be a best choice for family and couple within reasonable room tariff. But would suggest they can reduce the tariff a bit otherwise...

The location of the hotel is awesome. Its right on the kalatali beach. I found kalatali beach to be better than neighboring Sugandha and Laboni especially as it is less crowded.

The hotel is located at a walking distance from the dolphin circle (the stop for all the inter city buses).

As we wanted to have a king size bed with a single bed in the same room, we could not get one of the beach front rooms . But I was happy to find out that we could enjoy a good view of the beach from the balcony. There was also a common area (on the same floor) with a beach view with comfy chairs.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were excellent. The room was very clean. The interior of the hotel was well decorated. I must say that the housekeeping staff does a fantastic job in keeping the hotel maintained.

The breakfast was average but had enough choices. I also tried the restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was good. The vegetable noodles was the highlight!! I did not get to try the kebabs and other BBQ in the outdoor restaurant but it seemed to be very popular among tourists. I could witness people from other hotels were coming to enjoy the food.

The staffs especially the front desk staff were very professional and efficient. The check out was done in a breeze.

One suggestion for further improvement will be to provide floor mat/ towel in the bathroom which will help to keep the floor dry.

I will highly recommend the hotels to the travelers especially to the people travelling from abroad and tourists...
