We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Star Pacific in Sylhet, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. We were greeted with warm hospitality from the moment we arrived. The hotel's service was outstanding and exceeded all of my expectations.

The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the staff addressed my needs. The hotel staff was amicable and attentive, always willing to go above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided excellent recommendations for things to see and do.

The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities, including a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a well-equipped bathroom. The room was also quiet and peaceful, which made for a great night's sleep. The bathroom was also spotless and stocked with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was clean and modern, with plenty of towels and toiletries provided.

The hotel's restaurant was also top-notch, offering a variety of delicious dishes that the chefs expertly prepared. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Service was prompt, and the food was delicious, with various options to cater to different tastes. One thing that stood out to me was the food. The hotel had a great selection of restaurants, and the meals were all delicious & a fantastic rooftop swimming pool.

We highly recommend this Hotel Star Pacific Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Sylhet. The fantastic service provided by the staff truly made my experience unforgettable, and we can't wait to return...

Important: If you are here to have only lunch and dinner or small celebration at their cafeteria, it is fine. But if you are planning to stay at night, avoid it. I repeat, avoid it. See below the detail review and picture with caption.

Over the last 5 years the downfall of this hotel is significant. I stayed in their single room, which is extremely congested. May be their twin share or deluxe room is bigger but I don’t know. I found water leaking in room and washroom ceiling, towel hanger in the washroom is broken (see photos), no peep hole on the door is very risky, therefore you don’t know who is knocking - room service or other people. Even water clogged in the washroom after shower. Since my last visit they renovate the lobby, which is quite good to be honest. Hotel corridor is very narrow at 9th floor, but wide in other floors. Food taste is quite good, but found their breakfast breads were not fresh. And man their chef don’t know how to do a cheese omelet. Otherwise their Chinese and bangla food items are tasty.

Most irritating part was their swimming pool. Although it is beautiful, it is open for all. People who are not staying in the hotel can also use the pool, providing the hourly rent. Therefore, it is always crowded and lifts are always wet, specially at evening and after Maghrib. I saw many local young boys (may be from local sports club), are swimming after their match. When I asked about it, authority deny to accept the fact, but I saw and even talked with...

Professional behaviour from the stuffs. Room was neat and clean. Room service was very good. Wasn’t really happy with the internet speed. Internet service needs to be improved. And also the hot water at the bathroom doesn’t come quickly. You need to keep the tap open for at least 5-10 minutes. Was in an official tour, just stayed their during the nights. So didn’t have opportunity to experience other facilities like swimming pool etc. Didn’t even have chance to know whether they have gym or bar. But I really liked the breakfast. Other than the quality of brown bread, the breakfast was really very standard. In the breakfast, they just need to replace the normal quality Ispahani Mirzapur tea bag and can also add some fruit items.

Forgot to mention about the cable connection. My 2nd trip few days back helped me to remind about the poor quality cable connection. Most of the TV channels had poor signal quality. At least the TV and remote was properly working during my previous visit. But this time the TV/Remote wasn't behaving normally. It was automatically changing shutting on and off in every few minutes interval. For that, I missed the news headlines. Needs to be maintained/replaced/repaired.

My room quality was far better in my previous trip. This time, it was worse. I am wondering why I got two different quality room...

Good Customer Service: Had to checkout from Hotel Noorjahan Grand one day earlier due to some issues we had. Hotel Star Pacific was very welcoming in greeting us and accommodated all our needs (late check out, laundry Service). Great Selection of Buffet: Buffet had great selection of food starting from croissants to Bengali breakfast items. Rare tea bags like Arjun Tea and Amloki tea were available as well. Had a 10/10 buffet experience Clean Rooms: Stayed in Crystal Couple rooms. These were the only rooms they had available as we booked just the night before after a mishap in previous hotel. The rooms had Prayer mat, Sandals, Toiletries and Hair dryer along with other amenities. Casa Blanca Restaurant: The Signature Restaurant is called Casa Blanca restaurant where we had the option to choose from Continental, Thai and many other cuisines (Pictures attached)

I attended a departmental workshop there after a long time. Their conference venue was not up to the mark. The carpet on the stage was so dirty that it looked very odd, as they claimed they were a 3-star hotel and restaurant. The sound system and projector were good. The restrooms in the venue were very disappointing. One is out of order with a broken door, the next one has no lock at the door out of five toilets. Their coffee shop opens at 11:00 am, which I think is a little bit late. On the other hand, their restaurant was nicely decorated and their served dishes were palatable. Overall, the surroundings are very good. It's situated just at the entrypoint of the Hazrat Shahjalal (Rh)'s shrine at Dargahgate, Sylhet. They have underground parking, but the entrance point is narrow.
