Our wedding at Island Magic Beach Resort was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the outstanding efforts of the hotel staff. We hosted 48 guests and rented out the entire hotel, as well as a few rooms at another nearby hotel. The staff at Island Magic went above and beyond to organize all the accommodations, even coordinating with the other hotel seamlessly.
From the moment our guests arrived, the hotel staff ensured every detail was taken care of. They organized shuttles, ferries, and flights from the airport to Caye Caulker, making the travel process stress-free. They also reserved golf carts for us to use, which made exploring the island convenient and fun. The rooms were spacious, with hot water and cold air conditioning, providing a comfortable retreat after our days of celebration.
One of the highlights of our trip was a snorkeling excursion to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, arranged by the hotel. It was a perfect group activity that everyone enjoyed.
When it came to the wedding itself, the staff at Island Magic handled everything with precision and care. They took care of all the details, from the officiant, DJ, and photographer to the flowers, food, and decor. While we wouldn’t recommend the officiant provided, the rest of the services were impeccable. We highly recommend DJ Khris and Ms. Monica for photography. The wedding setup was absolutely beautiful, creating a picturesque backdrop for our special day.
Special praise goes to Amy and Lorena, who spent countless hours planning and communicating with us to ensure every detail was covered. Their dedication and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our wedding, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
Our guests loved the swim-up bar and received exceptional service from the bar and restaurant staff, who greeted us with warm smiles every day. Everything we ate at the restaurant and on the wedding night was delicious, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
We were also thoroughly impressed with the housekeeping service. They meticulously cleaned our room daily, and it was such a nice treat to come back to a clean room every night.
The hotel is right on the water and offers amazing views of the ocean and sunrise, which added to the magical atmosphere of our stay.
Island Magic Beach Resort made our wedding dream a reality, and we can’t thank the team enough for their hard work and hospitality. If you’re considering a destination wedding in Caye Caulker, we highly recommend Island Magic Beach Resort for an...
Read moreTHE PERFECT STAY! I cannot say enough about this resort. Very reasonably priced, perfect location, large and clean rooms, large and clean washrooms, large balcony with insane views, impeccable service, beautiful pool, lovely restaurant.
It is a 3 minute walk from the ferry terminal, which is extra nice on sandy/ragged streets with roller bags. Friendly, warm, speedy service upon arrival, including allowing an early check in. Rooms are so pleasantly large, clean and airy. Plenty of room for 2 people to lounge about. Appreciate the two couches, separate dining table, large fridge with freezer, two chairs on the balcony + hammock. So much space.
Prime sunrise views from your (ocean facing) balcony and even better from the beach bar. This is the breezy side of the island, so you've always got a pleasantly cool breeze. The west side of the island is so heavy/stuffy, we rushed back to our breezy side often.
Many folks staying on the north end complained about how loud the bars and late night parties were (beach raves until 2am). Our east side was extremely peaceful and pleasant. All the beach side shops are within a ten minute walk max. North end is a slow paced 15 minute stroll.
The pool is so quiet, we were shocked. All rooms seemed to be in use but we only ever saw 1 or 2 people max at the pool. Swim up bar is a fun perk.
The beach bar is AMAZING. Lovely for breakfast with that insane sunrise. Healthy and hearty options available. I joined for one lunch while we were out lounging on the resorts pier. Conch Ceviche and a Coco Colada (frozen coconut cream, mint, lime, rum)- both so light and refreshing. Came back for a happy hour with a great book and cocktail on the swings. Cheap happy hour (bogo cocktails at $10 each), and this bar had the best Panty Ripper that we found on the island- my mate fell in love with this drink and tried it everywhere. No place better than our beach bar. Truly a perfect experience at all of my visits.
Service is AMAZING, all of the staff at the beach bar and resort are so high energy, friendly, personable, fun. Love the book exchange in the lobby/office. Appreciate the complimentary bottle opener provided upon request.
This place provides a cute boutique/family experience with all of the perks of a major resort. If i return to this island, will absolutely return here....
Read moreMy review would give this a 4.75 star! it was almost perfect! The room was huge, we had room 10. and fit my party of 3 adults (2 adults and 19 year old kid) with room to spare. Bathroom is a bit small, but worked out just fine. The AC blows COLD in this room. it was awesome as it was HOT outdoors. I did appreciate that the ac/mini split was in the bedroom and the bathroom didn't get it. As it made showering/getting ready much more comfortable to us gals. Hubby kept the bathroom door closed for us at night so that we could have a warmer climate in the mornings. keep in mind it's an older place. there is wear and tear but overall its really lovely. The pool was fantastic! They had music going and a really nice time. Happy hour (which runs quite a few hours) CANNOT be beat. Best drinks we had were from our hotel! I will dream about the chicken tacos and coconut shrimp here. The staff are all lovely, but extra thanks to Cordelia and the chef Orissa! Cordelia was all smiles every day and so fun! She got our crazy American humor and we had a blast! We had one small hiccup w/a golf cart rental, and the hotel DID offer us a solution of getting 2 carts for 4 people at no additional cost (we were party of 5), we did decline as we wanted a 6 seater so that our group stayed together/could talk/coordinate better. We were able to find that and enjoyed our island ride. We had a meal and some drinks on the ocean front deck/swinging chairs and it was so lovely! While there we did run into a group of women, one making a snarky remark about this place not being "luxury", Please realize where you are. For Cay caulker, it's as luxury as you are going to get on the South side and they go above and beyond in all other aspects that not having a luxury room is a okay! you spend most of your time out of it anyways! We did visit the North side sister propery (the island magic villas) WOW! blown away. ocean front, AMAZING pool, Great dining too and wonderful friendly staff. We were able to tour an open unit and it was gorgeous and that luxury feel. we may split stay next time! overall loved this stay! thanks...
