My husband Larry and I stayed 9 nights at Dream Cabanas and we felt we needed to review this place. First of all, it had a great vibe overall. Locked gate for security, but considering how safe we feel on Caye Caulker, not needed but some people may like this feature. A jungle vibe when you come in. The manager Mily and her husband were wonderful. Mily is sweet & kind & I am shocked by comments on other reviews saying otherwise. She goes ABOVE & BEYOND- she even advised us to not see the local doctor but go to the nearby Caye Caulker Health Clinic for infected sand fly bites. We also received excellent care there. We now know to not be outside at dusk & dawn as they are apparently quite bad then. Mily even called us a taxi! This is located in a residential area SO if you don't like that- and don't like to hear dogs barking and rooster crowing, feel free to pay more money and go elsewhere! This place was very reasonably priced- we paid $118 CDN per night (about $89 USD). Also this is not close to the noise on front street where many hotels are, so if you rather listen to loud music vs. nature, go ahead! Dream Cabanas is only a few minutes walk to the beach and this review is already too long, but I really wanted to explain this place. Rooms are clean- towels and cold water are changed daily, room cleaned every other day and full bedding changes every 4 days! We highly recommend Dream Cabanas! Sandra Brayer and Larry Chiasson 💕

Dream Cabanas exceeded our expectations! We spent two nights there while visiting Caye Caulker and we really loved: -the fenced/gated property. Caye Caulker was safe across the board, but it's always nice having that extra feeling of security anytime you go someplace new. -the AC unit! Made sleeping at night so comfortable. -the staff. Check in was a breeze, our room was cleaned daily, and getting our water pitcher refilled every day was very much appreciated! -the design of the property. Each room has its own private porch, patio chairs, clothes line and clothespins, and set of stairs. It truly felt like we were in our own private cabana even though all of the rooms are adjacent. -the location. The property is closer to the west side of the island and is a few "blocks" off the main strip. This meant no noise from other tourists and minimal foot traffic going by the place. We would absolutely stay here again on our return visit to Caye Caulker and highly recommend this place to others! Clean room and bathroom, a comfortable bed, AC, a lovely walk-in shower, and a private porch to enjoy a book and some coffee.

I stayed here for two nights, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel consists of six-room cabanas in a quiet part of town, about a 5–10 minute walk from the main attractions of the island. The property is beautifully maintained, very clean, and peaceful. The room had air conditioning, a fan, a mini-fridge, and a beautiful private bathroom with a step-in shower. The beds were comfortable, with soft pillows and high-quality linens. Small touches like complimentary water, a kettle for coffee/tea, and glassware made the stay even better. The staff were fantastic, always helpful and welcoming. While the location is slightly outside the main hub, it’s an easy walk or you can rent a bike from them. Overall, this is a top-notch, affordable stay for those looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Would definitely return!

We booked our family vacation (7 people distributed in 4 rooms). There is a construction site right next to the apartments where the workers play loud music from 6.30 am. The first day we noticed that anybody from the hotel stuff was asking them to lower the loud music or try to deal with this obviously annoying situation so we complained politely ourselves directly to the workers and asked them to lower the music with no results. The day after the people in the construction site not only played music but once we complained they started playing louder while mocking us - especially the younger girls of the family. The situation became very tense since both sites started speaking louder and as expected guests in the two other rooms came out because of the noise. Apparently everyone was aware of the situation but the hotel staff. Note here that walls in these rooms are thin as paper so you are able to here what is happening loud and clear and the reception were the hotel staff is staying is right in the middle so no chance they did not listen to what was happening. However instead of us as guests-customers being some how protected by the business we were trying to short things out alone like we are the owners and responsibles for what was going on. ||||We all got really upset and started knocking on the reception door hoping someone will come out and handle things as it should. The receptionist - who apparently is the one and only representative came out after some time and one of us was finally furious and was asking her to take some action and further refund us for the two coming booked nights since the situation was over the top. Milli, the incapable representative of the business preferred to start a hole drama because of our complaints instead of taking some action. Further she entitled herself as the lawyer of the island and 'explained' long story short that it is what it is just because we are on an island.... After we insisted to call the police, the officers explained otherwise, that music is allowed as long as it is not annoying for anybody. ||Milli then was very much into kicking us out right away but looks like her boss on the phone believed otherwise, because of course refunding full amount of 4 rooms and having them empty in the middle of the weekend is not pleasant for their business. ||We decided to leave the rooms and asked for our full refund for the 2 coming nights, but the amount was controversial since she was not willing to return the full amount and claiming that she has to charge us extra cleaning fees. Apparently after she calculated "better" the amounts to be returned we got back the full amount as it should since there was no logic on charging us extra as long as we were about to check out before 10 am which is the normal check out time. ||It is totally disrespectful for a business in tourism on an island that promotes calmness and peace, to be completely incapable to provide a decent staying. ||It looks like this construction site exists here for quite some time now but nobody from the hotel management had ever dealt with it since the police was first informed this time. ||To conclude, we are all people who travel around the world for many years now, some of us also work in tourism industry and acknowledge the cultural differences and the different ways of communicating. We have never experienced such an incapable staff and not willing to stand up for something basic as such....||||Ps. To the hotel owner : along with the tons of useless emails you've been sending for your (non-existing) covid and sanitary policy please make sure to update your future guests about the construction site which will not leave them to relax, so people are prepared and not scammed. ||||Ps. To Milli : next time a guest is trying to do your job it would be nice of you to go out and help cause it is simply part of your responsibilities. We apologize for interrupting your sleep at 9 am because we...

I doubt I’ll have enough space ! We are overjoyed to say the least . I don’t remember who I was in contact with at first but Nate helped us out a great deal . They were very accommodating and they answered all our questions without hesitation. We were not stressed at any point . It felt like we were visiting friends . ||When we got to Caye Caulker a boat came to pick us up . When we got to the location, Cory and Nate were there to take us to our cabana. My Dad and sister got the two room and I got the one room . The two room had a full kitchen with utensils. Both rooms had their own bathroom . The single cabin had a huge comfy bed , kitchenette and bathroom . We also had a nice pool and bar area . We made use of the Bbq grill on our last day . Nate was on call almost 24 hours a day .|| This place is perfect for a nice family vacation or a romantic getaway . There is also a cute little store where you can get some groceries ( we brought most of our own) . We didn’t want to leave … I know I didn’t remember every detail perfectly but , needless to say I’m returning before the end of the year . I recommend Happy Destiny a million...
