Brisas del ILLAMPU — Hotel in Copacabana

I’ve been there with my girlfriend for one night. We checked the room before and negotiated a double bed room with private bathroom from 120 to 100 Bs. The room was nice with a lot of light and a nice view on the Harbour of Copacabana. Sadly we didn’t check the mattress and the adjustments of the shower and also we didn’t ask for the breakfast. The adjustment of the shower is interesting, the mattress was, and I hate to be that German tourist who is complaining but I want to tell it, that others are not going to make the same mistake, horrible. It was completely worn and sleep was not really possible. The breakfast the next day was a really good coffee, a nice fresh orange juice and a few pieces of bread with marmalade. Sad thing - the marmalade was not enough at all and the answer to our question if we could have more, there were just a simple ,,No.” |Because the hotel is situated right next to the lakefront it was (talking about a Wednesday night) noisy and loud the whole night. People partying and playing music and a lot of barking dogs. |So I really want you to know that you can have a relaxed night and a good breakfast the day after for that money if you don’t go to Hostal Brisas...

It’s dirty, falling apart and the rooms and bathrooms are grim! I paid the equivalent of £6.50 for one night and I know that’s cheap but I’ve paid £3 for hostels in South East Asia which were incredible compared to this dive. ||My room resembled a prison cell, it was tiny, grimy and the mattress was awful; soft and springy. There was no windows or no heating (it’s very cold in Bolivia at night in May) and the walls were incredibly thin. There was a toilet next door to my room and not only did the light wake me up when it was turned on in the middle of the night because there is a glass panel between the toilet and my room (totally bizarre). I could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING that went on in that toilet which was super unpleasant. ||I had to ask the staff to replace the toilet paper and they still only did it in one toilet. The shower was disgusting, hair still in the drain and barely any hot water. ||The WiFi was terrible and the plug sockets barely held my little USB charger in them, so it repeatedly kept falling out. ||Definitely one of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in during...

Never go there! Bitte nicht leute! Was just eating for dinner and have a drink the woman from hostel told me that she will close the door at 11 p.m. i was back at 10.15 p.m. and it was closed!! I knocked on the door, Phoned her, rang the bell and that all 20 a 30 times NO reaction i am a girl travelling on my own and had to sleep in the street because cash banking card... was all in my room! In the next morning I came in and asked what was going wrong and why she didnt reacted she didn't care about it and told me that it's wrong what i am telling ! Moreover dirty bathrooms, never Toiletpaper, dirty floors in room, window can not be closed - cold and good entrance...
