The hotel quality fits the price. Great view of the lake. Room does not have environment control = no ac or heating. 3 heavy blankets are placed on the bed creating a press against the bed making for some difficult to breathe. The pillows are hard and medium hard and height. The bed is on the hard spectrum; i heard some rooms are softer. Shower is cold. The room has no phone or communication so if you need anything you must go out and get it. Wifi is available with password, just ask for it. Some rooms are far fron the wireless specially those on the 4th floor. Tv works good with channels from local bolivia and peru channels. Sone prime channels are available, but everyone will go out anyways. Location is great. One block from transport center, one block from tourist street and entertainment, three blocks from the jewel of copacabana, the church. NOTE: the place used to be a hostel with a common shower then transformed to a hotel, thus rooms are improvised with walls and paint. SUMMARY: bad bedding, cold shower, great toilet ltoilets are always great regardless) awesome location and view. Price is great for a lake view. If you like roughing it up this hotel is better than camping you...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel after taking the Titicaca Transportation bus from La Paz to Copacabana. When we arrived at the lake, one of the guides on the bus said that they had a special deal with the hotel for a private room with hot water and breakfast. It cost less than I had planned to pay for a shared dorm bed in a hostel, so I thought it was at least worth a look. ||I was given a twin room on the 5th floor and because the hotel is on the lakeshore it had a lovely view and received sun during the day. There was hot water in the shower, and a towel and soap provided. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet with tea/coffee, lots of fresh fruit, and bread rolls with jam. ||The hotel has two terraces overlooking the lake, where you can sit outside, and a billiards table indoors. The WiFi worked fine in the common areas. The family who work in the hotel were always friendly and helpful, and I can also mention the receptionist Jaime Mendoza. For the price I paid per night, I thought it was...
Read moreWe stayed here just for one night before taking the boat to Isla del Sol. We arrived to Copacabana by bus, and the bus stopped first in front of this hotel and told us they had a special offer where we could stay for $6USD a night. Why not!? ||The breakfast was decent with fresh fruit. The common areas were nice and the wifi worked well in those areas (no wifi in the rooms). There is a large balcony outside that overlooks Lake Titicaca. Our room was totally fine for one night, except the door the the room and the bathroom door, both barely closed. We were staying the next night on Isla del Sol, and the staff at Hotel Mirador let us keep our bags there overnight while we stayed...
