Very basic accommodations. I think we went during a slow time because I only saw one other guest there. The whole time we felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. They were super unhelpful and unfriendly. The morning we had to catch the boat to Isla de Sol we came down for breakfast at 7:30 (they say breakfast starts at 7) and we woke them up. It was weird because we had come down for breakfast the morning before and we told them we were taking the 8:30 boat, so it shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise. The guy then obviously left for the store to get breakfast supplies. The breakfast was okay; stale bread, jam, fruit juice, eggs, tea/coffee. We barely made our boat on time. ||They let us store our bags there while we were at the island, which was nice. When we got back he offered to sell us a bus ticket to La Paz, which turns out was about double what it should have been. Like many places, the bathroom had a pretty strong sewer smell and we had to keep the door closed. ||We’ve been in worse places for sure, but if you stay here, just go with low...
Read moreThis is going to be a rant, but I would hope you heed some advice from this, stay somewhere else. We had a 5 day reservation, but only stayed 3. They say they only have water from morning till 11, then 5pm till late, which was untrue, we tried to get a hot shower at 9 am, nope. We were trying all day, finally around 10 pm, we got some hot water. They say Breakfast included, but the second day, they said they didn't want to that day and there was no breakfast. The third day, same water issue, but now no electricity and wifi. Guy whos supposed to be at the reception, but instead just stays in his room all day, says the entire city has none. We went next door to the mirador and they had electricty, hot water and wifi with 1/2 the price and lake view||||TO TAKE AWAY from this, go to the mirador next door, or even the hostel diagonal from this place. Half the price, lake view, and has electricity, wifi, hot water and breakfast. It seems like it used to be nice at one point, but changed mgmt and now is the worst place Ive stayed during my...
Read moreIt seemed like a fairly nice place; clean and located a short walk to the beach and center of town. The room had a comfortable bed and a great view, with a small balcony.||However, they had advertised in-room wifi, which is something I need, and, as it turns out, the only wifi signal is located in a small area, in the lobby.||I know traveling can be hit & miss, at times, so I figured I would just check out and into someplace that better fit my needs.||The owner/clerk did not want me to leave, and refused to bring my baggage down. I had to wrestle it down myself, from 3 floors up, and with my medical issues. (which I told him about)||He tried to charge me for my entire booking, instead of one night, then attempted a rip-off, on the exchange rates.||His final affront was refusing to give me change, for the money I had given him. Fortunately, only a few Bolivano's, but it's the principle.||It's a shame. It is a very quaint looking place, and seems quite nice, but with those kind of business practices,...
