This has been a wonderful experience. We came here to Brazil for the first time and the stay has been more than I could have expected. I was celebrating my 38th birthday and the staff at the spa and reception did everything they could to give me a memorable experience.||At the spa, I had originally schedule a pedicure and facial for me and my wife. Even though it was the day of, because it was my birthday, the front desk manager helped me wife quickly assemble the following services:||1) she was able to coordinate a same day massage and sparkling wine bath for me|2) Beatriz, the hair stylist gave me a complimentary hair wash |3) the front desk manager and staff provided me with spa treats that were so tasty.|4) the front desk manager also gave me a sweet little spa gift for my birthday!||We want to also thank Rafael in guest relations for being so flexible and help coordinate surprises for me in our room. He was super welcoming, generous, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. ||In particular, he supported us with:||1) On the day of my birthday- my wife went to see Rafael, and although it was already 15:00, he was so kind and helped her set up the room with balloons, flowers, a lovely dessert, and champagne. ||2) He also helped my wife contract with a local company to surprise me the next day with a full room decoration and custom cake. My wife said the experience was so smooth because of Rafael and his coordination with the vendor for options and payments. ||3) When he found out we were checking out early he contacted the kitchen to make us sandwiches and juices— and sent them to our room the night before so we could eat before we left for...

Overall, this Resort would have everything to get a five star rating. It has a great pool area, everything is clean and well maintained, rooms are nicely decorated. It has though some fundamental design errors, that complicate your stay. If your room is not in the building of the reception ( hugh chance of that btw) the only way to access your building is to go outside, in a region where it rains a lot and sometimes has snowfall, or follow an obscure walkway through the badly lit underground car park. Imagine yourself alone at night walking through there - that’s how a lot of good horror movies start. The pool area looks great, but would need some simple improvements: tell guests to put a towel under their sweaty behinds in the dry sauna. There are plenty of towels available, that little sign would help a lot. The steam sauna smells moldy. Also, it has no hoses to clean the place where you’re going to sit down. That’s good practice in steam saunas and an easy improvement. The staff is generally very friendly.
