My husband and I did a rotation in Campinas for his company. When we first moved here we stayed at this hotel for about a month and a half. At first I was a little nervous leaving all my belongings in the room when we both left but we eventually did and nothing was ever stolen. (the lock box wouldn't fit our 2 computer, PS4, etc) ||||The breakfast was pretty good with various selections of fruit, cereal and yogurts. Although you could tell they were a little lazy on shopping because sometimes they would run out of things for a while and I would see the items available in the grocery store. The scrambled eggs were sometimes served on toast in the buffet... a little weird. I figured it was to absorb any liquids....||||The pool on the roof is pretty good. There were only a few chairs to lay out in. But you do have a view of the most absurd intersection. (which will annoy the heck out of you and your taxi drivers after a while). There are 3 streets that all are coming into the intersection and only one street that goes out of it. ||||The cleanliness was very good. The maids come everyday and as you can assume I did end up watching them half the time because I lived there so long. They did an amazing job and also gave me any extra shampoo or conditioner I needed. ||||Honestly after a month and a half my husband and I considered living there the rest of our time here but it was WAY too expensive and they wouldn't negotiate even though there weren't a lot of customers. ||||The location isn't that amazing, but I don't think there are a lot of hotels in the middle of Cambui, which is what I would think is the best. ||||In the end, its a...
Read moreI stayed at the Vitoria Newport Residence during a one month assignment to Campinas for work along with 15 of my colleagues.||||The rooms are spacious with a living area and bedroom seperately. Ceiling fans are in both rooms and air conditioning also in the bedroom. The bathroom is pretty small but still has all you need. The rooms have a kitchenette with a very strange portable gas cooker with gas bottle sitting on the bench. It looked very odd to me and I would not trust using it in the room but others did. The rooms also have complimentary WiFi.||||Breakfast was included in our room rate and the buffet breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, cereal, toast, cakes, ham, cheese and a selection of 2 cooked items each day. I also had room service a couple of nights and the food was very good. The helpings were large. The staff at the bar were very friendly and also gave us complimentary cachaca.||||The rooftop BBQ area is great and we had a couple of group BBQs up there. The staff were very helpful in arranging this for us providing us with plates and cutlery and also olive oil as we asked for it.||||The pool is very small and is more of a plunge pool and the gym is not good at all.||||The location was perfect for us. It is very close to a laundromat, supermarket, hippie market on the weekend, bus station, restaurants and bars.||||When I return to Campinas I will be sure...
Read moreThis hotel is in a good area of Campinas, called Cambui, which seems to be a residential area for upper middle class people.Breakfast was pretty good, and since it was meant for extended stay, it had a kitchenette with the basic things commonly needed. Besides, the staff was very friendly and willing to bring anything needed.||One drawback was the bathroom, which was very small, which would be allright for a shorter stay but very inconvenient for a longer stay. Also, the cabinets were all open type which was not very well suited for keeping clothes for an extended stay.||There was a very small pool on the rooftop and also a bar.Unfortunately, we got a room just below that. Everytime they moved the chairs around in the bar we could clearly hear them through our ceiling, so it would be advisable to avoid the top floor, which was the 10th I think.||The other thing to consider is to take the rooms at the side and not in the center [there are 3 rooms in front and 3 at the back with the elevators inbetween] because the side ones have extra windows in the kitchen area giving more light.||The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and the manager, Douglas was extremely helpful and friendly. In fact we ended up taking a suite in one of the sister hotels from him for the rest of our one month stay because that had a much better set up and was in...
