Girassol Hostel Vila Madalena — Hotel in Região Imediata de São Paulo

I stayed 4 nights in total and it was the spookiest experience I have ever had. I never met anyone from the staff except for the cleaner whom I saw once. I also didn't meet other people. The first two days of my stay, there was an older lady at her 50s with a dog and one day there was a couple. Besides those three and myself, the hostel was empty, so it didn't give me the experience I was looking for when staying at hostel, hoping to meet people. The last two nights I slept alone in the whole hostel. There are five rooms, three of which are private and the rest have 4-5 bedrooms each, but you can choose any of the rooms that is clean and available upon arrival, since it is self check-in and each room has one key. I had booked a private room, but opted for one with more beds, since the private ones were either dirty or just in bad condition. So I didn't even get what I payed for. One of the days, the management messaged me that I should pay extra fee, because "we were two people", but I was always by myself. When I explained this, I didn't get an apology or even an answer. When I arrived in the hostel, the code for the self check-in was wrong and there was no reception, neither they were replying to my messages, so I had to wait until someone replied. Gostaria de registrar aqui publicamente minha completa insatisfação com o atendimento do Hostel Girassol. Um lugar que tinha tudo para ser incrível: localizado, estrutura, limpeza, hóspedes... Porém a minha experiência na recepção foi decepcionante! Saí de Ilhabela no dia 02/01 as 17h enquanto deveria ter saído às 14h40. Por conta do atraso, avisei - no número que consta no App do Decolar (onde fiz a reserva) e no Google - que chegaria de madrugada por conta do atraso do ônibus e das estradas cheias. A pessoa que atendeu o telefone foi super educada e me desejou boa viagem. Por garantia, enviei uma mensagem no WhatsApp também avisando que chegaria a noite e que estava saindo aquela hora de Ilhabela. A pessoa me respondeu que ok e me desejou boa viajem. Em nenhum momento me informaram o horário de funcionamento da recepção do hostel. Chegamos no hostel as 00h30. Batemos muito na porta de vidro, até que um senhor (hóspede) muito mal humorado foi nos atender, e disse: "vocês não sabem abrir a porta?", eu disse que não sabia porque tinha acabado de chegar, ele disse que nós demos sorte que ele estava acordado porque não tinha mais ninguém trabalhando e se quisessemos dormir lá teríamos que falar com alguém do hostel. Comecei a ligar e mandar mensagem para o número o qual havia falado durante o dia porém sem resposta. Então, desceu um moço e disse: pessoal, a recepção funciona até às 23h, já são 00h30. Eu expliquei que havia ligado e mostrei a conversa dizendo que eu iria chegar tarde. Ele disse que eu havia falado no número errado e que aquele número era o do dono do hostel. Eu falei, então ele deveria ter te avisado. Ele falou que não, porque eu deveria ter ligado no número certo... Eu disse que aquele era o número que estava no Google e que então era um erro deles que eles deveriam corrigir. Ele virou pra mim e disse: olha mocinha, é o seguinte, você tem duas opções, ou dorme na rua, ou muda seu tom pra falar comigo pra eu fazer seu check in, porque eu estou fazendo um FAVOR pra vocês, eu poderia estar dormindo... Eu pedi então que ele fizesse o check in. Fiquei muito decepcionada, porque não era um favor. Foi um erro do estabelecimento, mas enfim, vi que não adiantaria reclamar.

Café da manhã, não vi e nem fui informada do horário de início e término. O Hostel tem desconto no Ifood e só fui informada quando meu lanche chegou. O voluntário que estava na recepção (argentino) e os gringos eram perfeitos. Acredito que o nome de quem me distratou era Gustavo, e acredito que ele...

Our stay here was a mix of good and bad. Having arrived in torrential rain in the morning, we were stood around in the communal area for more than an hour before a member of staff appeared!|We weren't on the booking system, despite booking in advance and although this didn't affect our reservation in the end it was not made clear to us at all until we enquired ourselves.|However over the rest of our 3 night stay things were much improved, one member of staff was very friendly and helpful, cooking for everyone and making an effort to involve all guests in conversation. |There were enough facilities, although they could use a spring clean and the general communal area/kitchen is very small, so if you're planning on cooking your own food you may well struggle!|Overall it was an average stay, much room for...
