While the staff are all very kind I do not know how Hotel Feller is a 4 Star Hotel due to their serious lack of attention to detail.
My girl friend and I were staying here for a friend's wedding. The day before the wedding we wanted to iron some of our clothes but no hotel room had an iron. So we had to pay for express ironing as it was Saturday and the wedding was Sunday.
After turning in our clothes we were told we'd get the clothes back later that day. We got back later that night but there were no clothes. In the morning I went down to reception and I was told they would check on our clothes and call my room. An hour past and I got no call so I went down again but was told again she'd call my room with an update shortly. Finally after more than another hour had past and no call had been made I went down again and was told our clothes were sent the dry cleaners and would not be back till Monday! I advised the receptionist we paid for express ironing as we had a wedding today and was taking place in 3 hours time! She said there was nothing she could do.
My girl friend and I then had to run out and buy new clothes on a Sunday when most shops don't open till 2pm and the wedding was at 4pm! Buying the new clothes cost us a fortune!
Apart from this ridiculous mess up on their part they also forgot to book our taxi for our flight the morning we...
Read moreI have to say I would have given this hotel a good review as the room was nice, breakfast was good and the amenities the pool were nice. However, a serious incident occurred at the start of my stay where the staff did not return my passport after photocopying it, I assumed they returned it with my partners, so I didn't think any issue. But the next morning when I was looking for the passport, we had to turn the room upside down as it was missing. Eventually, after a thorough search, we went downstairs to ask, and it was just sitting there on the desk and we received no apology, just “here you go”. They should have called the room or gone upstairs to return the passport immediately as any decent hotel would do. As a foreigner traveling in Brazil, this could have left me with a serious problem and serious cost if my passport went missing. I think the hotel should have acted more seriously with there being cases of identity theft and passport fraud. They are very lucky I didn’t contact the embassy for a replacement before I went downstairs. Also carelessly leaving it on the counter overnight opens opportunity for theft. Because of the negligence of the staff, I definitely would not recommend here and suggest training your staff on how to deal with this...
Read moreFirst the good things: room was big and quiet, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was okay. The staff was mostly friendly (a very helpful woman at the reception) and the hotel is good located. Now the not so good things: room Interieur was old and demaged. But the worse thing was our check in in the late evening with a guy named Gabriel. The chec-in took very long, so I asked the guy if there is any problem with my documents (I am from germany) cuz I need to go to toilet. He replied in a aggressiv and comanding tone, that I have to wait till he is done. I was schocked about his behavior and I felt very unsafe and to be honest, his aggressive behavior scared me. I was wondering if he would have talk to me like this if I would be a man. I am a woman and I talked in english to him, maybe that caused his respectless behavior. Anyway, that misogyn behavior is an...
