I just want to point out that we actually last minute changed our accommodation to the Globus after reading bad reviews from our original hotel. So when seeing the photos we were excited that it looked a lot better than what we originally booked.
To start, the rooms were spacious, had interconnecting rooms with friends which was a nice bonus. They were relatively clean apart from the odd big stain on the carpet but doesn’t affect anything so wasn’t concerned with this. The maids were excellent, always making the beds and giving fresh towels and toilet roll which was reassuring.
The hotel seemed eerie at times? Empty. So much space and room to sit in the reception and surrounding area but nobody there? Seems to not be open or managed as it was dark and dingy.
The thing that gives this review less stars is the restaurant. (We were Half Board). I am not going to lie and say it was inedible. As the food that was provided was edible and if you are not concerned or a fussy eater I am sure you will find something you like. I didn’t mind some of the food I ate. And I appreciate you can’t please everyone. So I think despite there maybe lacking a bit of variation in the evenings (same exact foods everyday) it was overall average and will fill a gap! The part that really upset me and my friends was the staff in the restaurant. Two girls on the door were really rude. The first night we tried the restaurant on arrival, and waited 40 minutes to be approached for drinks. And this was after asking for them twice. A few days later, we then brought our own bottles of water that we purchased in the hotel bar and restaurant downstairs, we were told we could not bring them in? And was directed to a sign on the door. Which understandable, but when we had to wait and beg someone to give us a drink a night or two before, we just thought bringing it was save the indigestion from trying to eat the food without a drink? Seemed a bit iffy too as seen other guests coming in with bottles of water (different brands to the ones they were selling in the restaurant - when we had the same brand). Don’t know if there is some favouritism towards people of different nationalities… We then sat down for food, and again waited 30 minutes no drinks insight. Doesn’t seem like they care about making the money as they didn’t ask us if we wanted any. So then trying to get the two girls attention, waving and asking them, I was completely ignored. Being looked at and brushed off. Disgusting and we were made to feel awful and embarrassed. This was our last outing to that restaurant as we couldn’t be bothered to deal with this. Which is a shame as we paid for the half board services. But yeah their attitude is what really brings this review down.
Other than that, pool was good. Sign says they don’t allows Sun lounger reservations but went down at 8 and all were already taken with hardly anyone sitting on them. So a bit disappointing.
Great location...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but my week-long stay at Four Points by Sheraton was frustrating enough to deserve one. In short: money badly spent. This hotel has potential, but the service experience left me genuinely baffled.
Let’s start with the check-in: disorganized, slow, and unfriendly. I waited nearly 40 minutes. When I finally reached the front desk, the staff member didn’t even greet me—just stared silently at her screen. Not a single "Hello," "Welcome," or even "Just a moment, please." When I mentioned that my booking was prepaid, I was met with disbelief and borderline hostility, until another (more experienced?) staff member quietly pointed something out on the screen. Suddenly, “Oh yes, now I see.” No apology for the prior rudeness.
Then came the room situation. I walked into my assigned room and was greeted by… a TV lying on the bed. Not mounted. Just resting there like a confused guest. I immediately called reception and reported the issue. Eventually, they called back and offered me a new room. I asked for help with my luggage (two large suitcases after 15 hours of travel) and finally encountered the only truly professional and decent staff member during my entire stay—Michael (or Micael). Friendly, helpful, had a sense of humor—an absolute gem in what otherwise felt like a customer service desert.
But of course, it didn’t end there. The second room was not cleaned—still in post-check-out chaos from the previous guests. I laughed out of sheer exhaustion. Told Michael I wasn’t accepting anything less than an upgrade, because this was becoming a joke. To his credit, he got on the phone and sorted it out.
I was moved to an upgraded apartment-style room, which sounded promising… until I discovered:
No trash bins anywhere. No remote controls for either of the two TVs. Air conditioning stuck at 23–24°C despite being set to 20°C—making for sweaty, uncomfortable nights. And on day two, the electricity randomly cut out. I had to call about the trash bins three times, and I honestly avoided the front desk unless absolutely necessary—they made me feel like I was the problem for even speaking up.
The one shining light? Housekeeping. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day, and I was genuinely grateful for that. Also, breakfast was solid—fresh, good quality, and with a fairly healthy variety. Nothing fancy, but absolutely sufficient.
To the hotel management: You have the bones of a great hotel. But the front desk staff—aside from Michael—are actively driving your reputation into the ground. Start over. Hire people who actually like hospitality, and who understand what basic courtesy looks like. The experience I had reflects not just a bad day, but a cultural problem within your team.
Would I return? No. Not unless major...
Read moreFirst of all, let me put all the negative reviews to rest. The hotel is fantastic, it pretty central to everything. You are right on the georgous beach, within a couple of minutes walk of for street and your on the main strip. What else do you want?
I got to admit, we only had breakfast there twice, and only had one evening meal. It is so cheap to eat out, we eat out every day and night. It was the usual hotel buffet style food, but it was fresh. Lots of salads & fresh fruit. I saw chips, pizza, burgers, something for everyone if your budget doesn't stretch to eating out everyday.
Cleaners are very friendly, but their English is very limited. We asked them for extra pillows, which the provided within a few minutes of asking. Our room was kept clean everyday and they changed our towels daily.
The only negative was our room. The room itself was perfect, great size and layout. But our view wasn't the best, we were on the back side and had a great view of the hotel across the road. We did ask could we change rooms and they told us to come back later. We decided during the day to stay in the room as it was only to sleep in, so the view really didn't matter.
The mini bar is also fairly cheap. Over the course of my holiday, I had several beers and bottles of water which added up to £4.80 when I cleared my bill when I was checking out.
The outside pool is great. We had no problems with getting sun loungers, even at 10 am in the morning. Lots do get "reserved", but there were plenty spare between the "reserved" ones. I will warn you though, the pool itself is freezing.
The poolbar service was great and very cheap. Around 3 Levas for a large beer (around £1.40). I would recommend you buy your bottled water in the supermarket on the strip opposite the hotel as it is half the price of the pool bar.
We eat our dinner in snack bar most days, good food, not a bad selection. Slightly more expensive than if we went out on the strip, but we wanted to stay in the pool area.
I would highly recommend this hotel, we are actually thinking about rebooking it when we next return to...
