My dad and I had a fantastic stay at the Family Hotel at Renaissance Square. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with incredible hospitality. The owner personally welcomed us from outside of the hotel and even took the time to show us a map of Plovdiv, offering helpful tips for exploring the city.
The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished with antique, traditional pieces that brought a touch of early 20th-century Bulgaria. The bathrooms were also very well-kept and fully equipped.
The location is perfect—right next to Plovdiv’s old town and just an 8-10 minute walk from the city's lively creative district Kapana. It’s also conveniently close to many historical and cultural sites like the ancient theatre of Philippopolis and the ethnographic museum.
The breakfast was a real treat: simple, traditional Bulgarian dishes that felt like something you’d enjoy at a family table. It was the perfect way to start the day, and you could really taste the care put into each dish.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience—great service, beautiful rooms, and an unbeatable location. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay...
Read moreTo tell you the truth the best manager I have ever seen in a hotel for a very long time. His name is Dimitar. He was very helpful to us. He was our guide for Plovdiv. He knows all the good restaurants and also all the places to visit. The room that we stayed was very quite and big. The room and the bathroom were very clean. Hot water in the shower was excellent. There is free and reserved parking spaces for the guests. There is traditional Bulgarian breakfast in the morning from 8 to 10 AM included to the price of the room. Very good location. You do not need a car or a taxi in order to go to the fair area (10 minutes walking) or the best restaurants ( 5 to 10 minutes by walking). The hotel is located in the corner of old town Plovdiv. But for the ladies do not wear high heels while walking in the old town as the roads are Roman stones. It is very difficult to walk :)). Best choice in Plovdiv. Thanks a lot. We will visit again whenever we will go to Plovdiv again. Thank you Dimitar it was pleasure to meet with you and stay...

If you want to experience Plovdiv and the Bulgarian revival spirit in a 19th-century handpainted house, look no further than the Family Hotel at Renaissance Square.
Our group had a mixed program (sightseeing and business), and Family Hotel at Renaissance Square had the perfect location in the heart of the old town of Plovdiv, close to the main attractions and easily reached from the main roads.
👐 The owner, Mitko, made our visit so memorable. He shared great tips, taking us off the beaten path to places we would never experience otherwise. You will easily make lifelong friendships with everyone there over the warm homemade breakfast made and served with so much attention to detail every morning.
We're forever grateful for your kind welcome and our great stay. We can't wait to visit you and Family Hotel at Renaissance Square again. 💚
