We arrived at Gallery 37 in Plovdiv at the beginning of February 2024 and had a nice surprise. The hotel is in unique location, a neoclassical gem, set up like a museum. It is located in a historic reserve of the old town and is surrounded by delightful sights, such as the ancient Roman Theater from the 1st century BC. or the 800-year-old St. Dimitar Church. Where does the number 37 in the name come from? From the 37 famous paintings that adorn it. Hotel Galery 37 has a unique artistic charm, the walls of the 11 rooms are decorated exactly like a gallery, with the masterpieces of famous Bulgarian painters, each room is also individualized by its own bathroom, with an artistic design and arranged in the same aesthetic. The rooms are spotless, have safe, minibar, high speed internet, TV, background music, telephone, AC, LED light indicator for room status, bell and other facilities. Here we found luxurious interiors with pleasant and soothing background music. The employees are very attentive to the needs of tourists and the manager Petar is a special, professional, very kind and devoted man, with a lot of love and attention to tourists, who helps you to discover the spirit and emotional charge of the city. We booked super last minute here as we had a bad experience with a dangerous Air B n B. The staff were welcoming and professional. We saw this hotel advertised online and decided it would be easier to show up and book in person. We booked a basic room and it was gorgeous! It was bright, beautifully decorated and had all the little personal touches, The mini fridge had lots of options, the bathrobes were fresh and clean, the towels were soft, the towel heater was a great addition and the aircon being switched on prior to us going into the room was great. We also loved the addition of the hotel music playing through speakers into the rooms! (you are able to switch this on and off easily) The beds are very comfortable and clean. I feel like the pillows could be a little more comfortable but that’s just our personal preference and a full length mirror in the room would be great. There is no lift in the hotel so be prepared to carry your suitcase up and down, This doesn’t bother us as we know it’s boutique hotel built into an older building. 100%+ Recommend & Would Return! The staff was beyond exceptional; they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable & happy! They were flexible with our check-in/out time based on our schedules. They contacted transportation on our behalf and were clear with all communication. Breakfast is an optional charge, and we took advantage for one of our mornings. They had 3 meal options, so we selected 2. It was delicious with large portions and came with juice, water, and coffee options. Moreover, the hotel and rooms were clean, well-maintained, and artful! The rooms were spacious, well decorated, comfortable, clean! The bed was lovely and allowed me to sleep directly through the entire night. All the windows had flowerbeds and blackout curtains! The restroom was clean and had all the little niceties (shampoo, soap, dental kits, etc…), an abundance of towels, and a walk-in spacious shower! Lastly the rooms were modern with touch screen music, temp control, and clean/do-not-disturb indicators. Even the contactless electronic keycards were wooden, which just added to the unique & artful atmosphere. Lastly the internet was reliable & fast and allowed me to connect remotely for work.
