We absolutely loved our stay at Panorama Hotel. This was our first visit to Bulgaria, and since our flight arrived quite late—landing at 3 a.m.—we were initially worried about late check-in. However, the communication with the hotel was excellent. They reassured us that we could arrive at any time since the reception is open 24 hours. The receptionist who greeted us on arrival was amazing—so friendly and helpful! She even assisted us with booking a taxi for our departure. The service throughout our stay was truly fantastic.
Breakfast was a highlight for us. We particularly enjoyed the homemade honey, yogurt, cakes, and the delicious Banitsa—it was all incredibly tasty! The coffee was excellent as well. A very kind gentleman in the dining room ensured all the guests were looked after, which added a warm and welcoming touch.
Our room was on the 4th floor and had a stunning view of the sea—such a treat to wake up to that every morning. Just to point out, when booking a room, if you want a sea view you need to book a room with a sea view. I read some reviews and was shocked at people’s expectations and reactions… The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever slept in, and I especially loved the pillow. It was so soft and cozy—I didn’t want to leave!
The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better. It’s just a 2-minute walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to the center of Varna. There’s also a convenient little supermarket nearby, as well as the fascinating Roman bath ruins—so much to explore within walking distance. Don’t miss a stroll through the beautiful Sea Garden nearby; it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
One unique experience during our walks was seeing so many adorable cats around. We noticed many kind locals feeding and playing with them. If you’re an animal lover, consider packing a little food for them—they’ll appreciate it!
We’re already planning to return to Varna early next year, and we can’t wait to book this wonderful hotel again for our stay. Highly...
Read moreWe stayed with my mother at the Panorama Hotel from 08.08.25 to 15.08.25. We really enjoyed the room and the service (cleanliness, polite and responsible staff who speak English and Russian at a decent level). Umbrellas, sunbeds, and beach towels were provided free of charge for hotel guests. In addition to breakfasts, we ordered lunch to the room. We also booked a transfer. I rate all the hotel services very highly.
A few words about the location of Panorama Hotel: it is situated in the tourist and resort area of Varna. 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the port (boat trips), 5 minutes to the amusement park. There is a public transport stop, a promenade, and many seaside cafés right next to the hotel. Walking from the hotel towards the city center, you can find a working pharmacy. In the city center, we found one occasionally open currency exchange office. Fortunately, it is possible to pay by card at the hotel and in most boutiques. As already mentioned several times in other reviews, there is no kettle in the room. There are also no water coolers in the hotel. Since the hotel has a beach status, it would be nice to have a drying rack for swimsuits in the room. Drying clothes on the railings of French balconies overlooking the main street feels inappropriate, but hotel guests have no...
Read moreDisappointing. Definately not a four star. This hotel is so overrated and overprized. There are other hotels close by giving better value for money. ||On the positive side there is a nice reception area. And the bed is quite comfortable. The view is overlooking a crossroad. On the other side the hotel is old and worn. In the room there are no sockets near the bed. AC is central govern. Not possible adjusting temperature in the room. I left it on max cold for 24 hrs. No difference. It’s just a fan blowing. The hotel is located in the street. You get a lot of traffic noise from the crossroad outside. Furthermore curtains are not lightproof. You wake up at 6am by sunrise. And then there is breakfast. Breakfast is the worst I had in ages. Simple, cheap and a complete mess. They are trying, but definately struggling. Cheap, greasy low quality products . In addition they deny to refill after 9.30 and turn off the lights 10.05 while guests still are eating. Breakfastroom is crowded, lacking tables. Staff is hostile passive aggressive and shows horrendous behavior. But coffee was ok! ||Under the surface they really need to improve their quality. I am glad I only...
